Dude, It's not a question of cooling down or not, I can't help you without information.
What's the contents of that specific function? It could be that it's machine related, like an unregistered dll, a setting, a missing file, etc, but it could be code. Can you write to a log file? Put some lines in the function and see what it does. You could also try to add beeps if all else fails.

What's happening in gfCheckLock()? If it's a null reference exception you're probably not instantiating something. Does the app call an external resource that the single client machine doesn't have perhaps? Are the other machines also running the same OS?
But fortunately we have the nanny-state politicians who can step in to protect us poor stupid consumers, most of whom would not know a JVM from a frozen chicken. Bruce Pierson

Hi,
Currently i am able to hit to the proxy server by supplying username and password after getting 407 response from proxy server. The server is configure with authName =private which i get as Basic realm in the server response. The config file contains:
# Proxy directive - asks for authentication when access a URL through proxy
<proxy *="">
Order deny,allow
Allow from all
AuthType Basic
AuthName "Password Required"
AuthName private
AuthUserFile "C:\Apache2\passwd\passwds"
Require user user
Require user valid-user
And i am setting the credential and getting the resonse from the server as:
Uri proxy_url = new Uri("http://146.122.190.237:8080/");
proxy.Address = proxy_url;
proxy.Credentials = new NetworkCredential("user","pass","private");
httpWRequest.Proxy = proxy;
//get the response. This is where we make the connection to the server
httpWResponse = (HttpWebResponse)httpWRequest.GetResponse();
If i havent supplied "private" it is working fine, but if private is supplied it is again fire 407 "AuthenticationRequired" error.
Can you tell me how to pass this realm value through credential in C#.Net, if at all needed to pass?
Is the domain means the realm ? if yes why it is failing?
Here i am using basic authentication type.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks,
Sangram.

Are there any possibilities to convert directly from DateTime object to a format like this:
"2007-10-01T14:44:59.5663649+02:00"
??
Thanks...

Take a look at the DateTime.ToString[^] overload that allows you to specify the format.
From a quick scan of that page I think the one you want is ToString("O");
|
|
|
|
|
Have a look at this...you ca define your own datetimepattern as you wish...for examples for the DateTimePattern try searching MSDN and google
System.Globalization.DateTimeFormatInfo info = new System.Globalization.DateTimeFormatInfo();
info.FullDateTimePattern = "...";
Application.CurrentCulture.DateTimeFormat = info;
Do your best to be the best

Hi,
I am going to develop a C# windows application and deploy in a server. This exe file will be used by around 10 people at the same time. I think it will create new instances for each user.
What I want to know is, are there any know issues for these kind of scenarios? What the general good practices for this kind of application?
Thanks & Regards

The main issue I can see is if your app writes to local config files, they could well clash.

if the exe uses resources (most commonly files) it could be a problem.

have you considered any of the "click once" stuff?
That way you can deploy to a server but each client gets a local instance as required

Try
object nullRef = null;
object count = null;
object gotoItem = (object)WdGoToItem.wdGoToBookmark;
object name = (object)"Sample";
Range rng = doc.GoTo(ref gotoItem, ref nullRef, ref count, ref name); where doc is your document.

Hi..
I have made a web application using ASP.Net 2.0 and MSSQL 2005.Well..I am really confused as to where I am wrong.I have my site running in my PC and in my LAN.But I have to send the site via FTP to some remote machine.I did it.I uploaded it unto some folder in their desktop.But it doesnt run there.It shud run when it is typed in the browser like http://remotecompterIP//sitename//aliasname//Default.aspx.
I have uploaded the precompiled files..published files that is.and another thing i have alos created a virtual directory .Does it matter?
However,I also tried doing it without the virtual directory.It shud go like http://remotecomputerIP//sitename//Default.aspx.
But this did not work either.
Should I upload the files into their wwwroot?is it necessary?
Any ideas??Plz help

confused

Depends. you can put it whereever you like, but if you don't tell IIS where it is, it plainly isn't going to work, it won't know where to look for it.
confusedme wrote: But it doesnt run there
If you gave us more meaningful info, we could perhaps tell if .NET was installed on the target machine, and IIS configured to run with it. But, it sounds more like you dropped it in a random folder and hoped it to work via magic. IIS needs to know where to look for your app. If IIS was free to read from anywhere on your PC, it would be super slow ( because it would have to search the whole file system for possible matches ) and not even remotely secure.

Hi...
Thanks for the prompt reply.Well..yes the IIS is installed on the machine and it is configured to work with ASP.NET.
I do not have the access to their IIS.I think you are trying to say that there must be created some virtual directory in their IIS to point to the folder that i have uploaded.If that is so then...i need not worry...coz it is their job.Is this wat u mean?I am posting you the error that it threw:
Server Error in '/' Application.
