Thanks for the reply. Sorry I put my question in wrong way. I want the.NET macro to record some lines of code so that I can use it in later whenever needed.
It works fine in 2003 but not working in 2005. Do I have make some settings so that it works fine.
Thanks again...

OK, I see. I've never used those macros, sorry. I assume there's a setting. Do you mean autocomplete, where you type in a part of the code and hit tab twice to see it filled ? I'm sure it's still there, but again, I never use it.

You're right, I'd both never seen that before, and couldn't make it do anything useful just now.

Do your really mean a macro. Wouldn't a code snipped be better for that?
With macros, you can for example record some actions you do in your editor (Tools/Macros/Record) and replay them afterwards (Tools/Macros/Run). Of course you can program them, too.
With snippets, you can define code blocks with parameters (for types, names, ...) and use a shortcut to add them to your code. En example is the prop snippet that inserts a property.

I have a gridview created with imagefields in one column. I want to remove all padding, etc. so that the images will touch (top to bottom).
I have set all spacing, borders, etc to zero but there is still space between the images. Does anyone know how to remove the spacing in the top and bottom of the cells?

Use CSS to control the layout
only two letters away from being an asset

What CSS code would control the spacing in the cell?

Thank you for your reply. You obviously think that I am stupid for asking that question as I read the condescension in your note. In my original message, I said that I had set all borders and spacing to zero.
Just to clarify, I had also set all cell spacing and padding to zero (-1) but I still have spaaces between the images in the cells.
Thanks for the assistance.

Then you're reading too much into a simple reply. Get a thicker skin, unless it's true.

Have you tried setting the row height for each table row? I'm not for sure but you might be able to force the table to render the rows at a specific height (say the height of the image) by setting the row height either in your HTML or in the code-behind. Other than that you might need to use FireFox and FireBug (add-on for FireFox) to play with the values of spacing, padding, etc of the rendered page until you get it just right.
Smile and the world smiles with you. Laugh and the world thinks your insane.

Actually, I have set the row height for each. I was surprised to find that it shrunk the image and still left the space in between.
Thanks for the reply. Please let me know if you have any other ideas.

I'm having problem getting the method ConfigurationManager in the System.Configuration.
"it only finds (System.Configuration.ConfigurationSettings.AppSettings)"
ConfigurationManager is a new function in the .Net 2.0, and I want to use it.
But my Visual Studio 2005 tells me that it don't exisit in the current context.
I have both VS2003 ant VS2005 installed on my computer.
I have both .net Framework 1.1 and 2.0 installed on my computer.
When I look on the System.Configuration that is referenced in my project it referce
to the C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\System.Configuration.dll
I have added the using System.Configuration; in my .cs file.
So why don't I find it?
Thanks

But have you added a reference to the assembly in your project?

I am reading info from a table (SQL Database) and using it to create a menu. I have graphics that will be used for the buttons. And I need them clickable, of course, to open another page.
But I need the number of buttons to be able to change depending on the number of entries in the database. I can use dynamically created hyperlinks (and apply the image to them) and then absolutely position them vertically, OR I can place the hyperlink images in a column of a gridview (a different image for each row/button).
I really dont want to use dynamic HTML. Any ideas?

Hi,
If I register a new user, how do I prevent the user from automatically being logged in after registration. I think I had a scenario like this when I last worked on the membership provider last year.
Thanks

(I am using the Ajax control toolkit for ASP.NET)
I've got quite a few ToggleButtons (Checkboxes), and I need to add a Check or Un-check all option. Changing the Checked value of the checkbox itself doesn't accomplish what I want, because the image doesn't change. I am pretty sure I need to raise an onClick() event somehow, but I am not sure where that is or how to run it. Does anyone know how I might do something like that?
Thanks!

I have been assigned a project where I need to show a check box in a grid that is based off of a bit field in a sql database. Here is what I am trying to do but not working correctly. Is there a better way to do this?
<asp:templatecolumn headertext="Finished">
<itemtemplate>
<asp:checkbox runat="server" id="optFinished"
="" checked="<%#" iif(="" eval("finished")="false," "false",="" "true")="" %="">
Thanks,
