Hi everyone,
I am trying to do something I thought was going to be easy and sure enough I have hit a road block
In a nutshell I want to send a email to a user after they have made an order and in that email I would like to attach a PDF which has all the details of the order.
I have a pretty HTML (.aspx) page with all the details so I thought that if the server could retrieve this page and convert it into a PDF then all my problems would be solved elegantly.
Unfortunately I can't find anything which will convert a HTML web request (and its associated sub requests to get all the images, etc) and give me a PDF.
Because I am on shared hosting I am also looking for something which I don't need to install on the server - I would like to just deploy it as part of my bin directory.
Does anyone know anything that would do the job?
Obviously if it is free that would be great but I am willing to pay for something if it is reasonably priced and does the job well.
Thanks for reading this post! If you need more info please just respond and I will be more than happy to get into it.
Kind regards -- Mark

I like to get some advice in application architecture.
I've got xbap project that he's need to contain database ( user, image,so on..)
I've create the GUI and the app in WPF/E ( XBAP ).
What I'm doing right know ,is adding to my (XBAP ) anew ASP 2.0 project to
Benefit of the asp login wizard.
1 ) First question is how I automatically let my asp jump to my first xbap page after the user found as login.
2 ) What kind of data base you suggestion to use for membership website
that contain ( image , and so on... )
3 ) Do I have to build anew database or I can use the database that the asp 2.0 use her login users. ? ( I think is app_data ? )
In the ( XBAP ) solution I do adding a new project and add the asp 2.0 .
Please any one can clear for me that best architecture do combine this two environments ,And Most important who how many database object I need ?
One in the asp and one the Xbap project ?
Thank you all .

Hello All...
when i apply URL rewriting the page is working fine.
but the problems is : CSS and IMAGES are not shown on the page due to path is changed.
i have used RewriteModule for URL rewriting
now what should i do to avoid this problem which style of coding i shud used..
i need your help ...thnx

Specify an absolute url to the css files and images. Like for example http://www.mysite.com/images/logo.gif instead of images/logo.gif .
If the rewritten url is still in the same application, you can use a path relative to the site root instead of relative to the page. Like for example /images/logo.gif instead of images/logo.gif .

First post chopped off left side of code. Here is the complete version.
Objective is to click on the image in the gridview to delete the record from the database, rebind,
and display the gridview showing that the record is gone. Problem is that it requires 2 clicks.
The first click makes the page move slightly but it does not delete the record from the database.
The second click displays the grid without the record and it displays the response.write text.
If I remove the call to the deleteje sub, the response.write does display the jeid so the onrowcommand appears to be firing.

You want to hook up the default page to use the default master template, or you want to discard the master pages altogether and just hard code the template into the default page ( so it doesn't appear anywhere else without similar hardcodng ) ?

for my purpouse i just need to have one main page, so maybe the second option works, discard the master template page from the other pages, cause im just gonna use one page, an just have the default.aspx with the template code in.
but, if i want to use another pages it would be better to merge the defult.aspx into the default.master (Keeping this big page as a template)....
well, just for the pressure one of an other will be fine.
which is faster or better... plz...
|
|
|
|
|
really, any of the two option is ok... maybe one of them is not posible.. i dont know.. so.. the faster the better
|
|
|
|
|
So, copy all the code from the master page into the actual page.

The content tags from the masterpage need to be removed, because you are not marking content areas anymore.

i solve, but just partally, ok here is the code, i just copy all the code from default.master to de default.aspx within the first line, but i still have the default.master cause i deleted or exclude from the project a lot of error messages apper... so here is the codes.
By the way, the reason for the purpose of merging it was i need to run a javascrip timer, on the main page... so that is already running as the way it is, but, it would be wonderful if i can eliminate the default.master page from the project.

Does anyone know how to display the thumbnail image of a crystal report
instead of the actual report on a webpage.
I want to display the thumbnail on the page and let the user click the image to diplay the actual report in the Crystal Report Viewer.

I have a small online store page that uses a grid view to display the item image and description. I would like my customers to be able to click on the image that is displayed in the gridview to view a larger image. Is this possible?
i.e. Click on image to view larger image.
I am using an xml file that houses the image url and description of the items.

Just set up your template for that column to render the image as a link to a window that shows a bigger image target="_blank" as part of the link will cause it to open in a new window
