Check the following link which will show you a reply related to the query about printing a complete Form. –
http://www.codeproject.com/script/comments/forums.asp?msg=2271313&forumid=1646#xx2271313xx
This reply uses PrintToBitmap function of Form to draw it on a bitmap file and then this bitmap is printed.
Please know that same PrintToBitmap function is available for GroupBox control also.
Use this function to draw it on a bitmap object and then print this bitmap, in the same way as it is explained in the above mentioned reply.
I hope this helps . However in case of any problem let me know.

Hi. I have a problem with my program. My program schedules songs to play to fill every second of the day for 24 hours. It schedules everything correctly according to the rules specified for the first 8 hours if I comment out the other 16 hours.. I think the problem is that I have 48 (2 for each hour)datasets running which in turn fill 48 datagridviews all on one form. This form and datagridviews are not going to be seen as they run as a background process. My program stops responding if I try to schedule anything more than 8 hours (aka 16 datasets worth of data). After every hour scheduled I call the clear method of the 2 datasets for the hour which has been scheduled to try free up some memory but that doesn't help. Is there anything else I can try. I am running out of time before my project hand in and this is a major problem. I tried calling the datagridview.rows.clear() method to clear the datagridview for the Hour already scheduled vb.net says it can't clear the collection.? really need help here. (I can't change my code design now but for some reason if i place break points in the code it runs fine for more than 8 hours why could that be... everything is still in memory?)

48 DataGridView controls on a form?? Don't you think that's a little excessive?? Why do you need 48 DGV's??

Thanks for the reply Mr Kreskowiak. I changed it to just 2 datagridviews and after each hour scheduled I save to the database and dispose of any data in the dataset and rebind the dataset tables to the datagridviews again for the next hour, I repeat until each hour is scheduled and now everything works perfectly. Have a good day

Hi,
I need to create a setup that exists of only 1 exe.
Can I do this with VS?
Should I use a separate tool?
John

I don't know of any tools that do this, offhand. A small project may turn into an MSI with no cab, but if you want neither MSI nor CAB, what do you want, an exe that installs the project ? Why not an MSI ?

Hi,
It has to be used for an addon in Sap Business One.
Sap stores the setup in the Database so every client who logs in gets the latest version of the addon.
Therefore it has to be a single executable programm.

So, either an msi, or a zip with an msi and a cab ?

Hi,
Neither,
Should be an executable.

An MSI is essentially an executable file in that you can execute it, does the application require the .exe extension?
The setup.exe which is generated is not required, so you can ship just the MSI - but if the shipped file HAS to have a .exe extension rather than being an executable file then it may be easier to package up the application as part of a self extracting executable (.exe) archive (winrar should do a nice job of this) which runs the extracted .msi file after the extraction is complete.

Hi,
Would InstallShield be a good alternative?

Hi all!
I have an issue here, I have a data grid where users can edit the cells.
A function will be executed once a user finishes editing something on the datagrid, i catch this even by having a sub which catches the datagrid event to listen for dataGrid.CellEndEdit.
In that function of mine, i will clear the data grid by calling; dataGrid.Clear.
Now looking at this scenario;
1) When a user edits a cell hits enter. ( no problem )
2) When a user edits a cell but then use the mouse to click somewhere else. ( problem! )
The problem reported by the debugger is that dataGrid.Clear cant be executed because they say
"Operation is not valid because it results in a reentrant call to the SetCurrentCellAddressCore function."
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Jensen

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SOLUTION OBJECT AND VB.NET PROJECT?
WHEN I CREATED APPLICATION ONE ASSEMBLYINFO FILE IS ALREADY CREATED IN MY PRJECT.HOW TO DESCRIBE IT?AND WHAT IS THE ACTUAL USE OF THIS FILE?
IT'S URGENT.PLS REPLY AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE IF U KNOW.

1) using capital letters is considered shouting when online, and hence a pretty rude thing to do - not to mention it is extrenely hard to read.
2) Urgent here and urgent there. No, I do not beleive your questions are urgent - please reserve urgent for - ehh - urgent stuff, like buildings on fire, people dying etc. No one is going to answer you any faster on a forum because you write it is urgent.
Anyway, a ResX file contain resources - which include things like strings used in the GUI and information regarding dialog layouts. Basically anything that needs to change between different languages of your application (languages as in French/English, not as in VB.NET/C#). Notice the strings will not jump into this file by themselves, so you will have to research it a bit if you need to internationalize your application (make it translatable). If you do not need to internationalize it I recommend just ignoring this file for now.
The PDB file contain debug info. With this your exception details contains line numbers - without it you get method names only (this is an example of where it is used, there might be others just can't think of any important right now).
A solution can contain several projects. A solution could for example consist of a web application and a domain model class library.
AssemblyInfo contains attributes for the assembly (the DLL). Things like version number, copyright notice etc available when you see the properties of the file in Windows Explorer. Open it and have a look - it should be pretty obvious what it does.

Good Morning monika_vasvani
First thing First, you must Practise Good manners in Forums so that People might Help you. Dont use Words like "IT'S URGENT.PLS REPLY AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE IF U KNOW", you dont pay us to help, so you must ask kindly or you will be ignord or Deleted out of our Forum.
Secondly Google First before you Ask a quastion in a Forum, this Annoys us a lot, and you will be ignored for that.
lastly let answer Questions.
|Monika_Vasvani Wrote
I WANT TO KNOW THAT WHAT IS THE ACTUAL USE OF RESX FILE
A .resx file contains a standard set of header information, which describes the format of the resource entries and specifies the versioning information for the XML used to parse the data

I WANT TO KNOW THAT WHAT IS THE ACTUAL USE OF PDB FILE
A program database (PDB) file holds debugging and project state information that allows incremental linking of a debug configuration of your program

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SOLUTION OBJECT AND VB.NET PROJECT?
The Solution object is a collection of all the projects in the current instance of the IDE and all solution-wide properties such as build configurations. The Solution object contains a project element for every project, whether it is a wrapped project, a subproject, or a top-level project.
i think from here you will find your answers. you are lucky i have answered your question with that attitude and i think if you would have Googled this, you would have known the answer to your question in seconds.
Hope it helps
