you can just search for how to crete relations in asp.net
|
|
|
|
|
In gridview you can do it following manner:
On Rowdatabound:
protected void ParentGridView_RowDataBound(object sender, GridViewRowEventArgs e)<br />
{<br />
if (e.Row.RowType == DataControlRowType.DataRow)<br />
{<br />
GridView ChildGridView = (GridView)e.Row.FindControl("NestedGridView");<br />
}<br />
}
Here "NestedGridView" is the gridview Control have created in aspx file.
And "ChildGridView" object which you have created to play in .cs file.
Hope This will help you.

In this article: "Encrypting and Decrypting Configuration Sections [^]" we discover how to use Aspnet_regiis.exe to Encrypting and Decrypting web.config sections.
My problem is that it works using a machine-specific key, so I cannot encrypt the web.config and then send to a remote server (like in shared hosts, when the website is hosted in a shared ISP).
I remember some time ago that I saw a good tool where I inform the password in a Windows Forms GUI, that returns the base64 encrypted password. So, I can use a simple function to decrypt from web.config im my Asp.net code.
I can't find that tool anymore. I don't remember neither the site or the name.. Can someone help me?

I need to display a Treeview control with nodes representing values that can be outdated. I want to display the outdated nodes in red, and the rest of the nodes in light green. I guess the object TreeNode must have a Style property or so, but I can't find it. Please, I would greatly appreciate any suggestions!

How many items are there in your drop downlist ?
Even you have 100 or 200 it should not give any problem

The item count in the drop down list is over 16,000... yes i know it is alot
|
|
|
|
|
Its waste by loading 16,000 items in the Dropdown list just laod all the contents in the DB abd activate it using the Ajax or atlas to the front end.

Hello All,
I am a newbie to .NET and SQL...have been hiding under the rock of Ph.D. studies...
I have a ASP.NET web page with a GridView control on it and I want to display the total number of records in the whole table. I am a newbie to .NET, Databases, SQL, and ASP.NET.
I've seen this posted elsewhere, however I can't make sense of the answers because they assume familiarity with databases. I don't know my DataSet from my DataView from my elbow. If anyone would be willing to give me a hint, I would be greatly appreciative.
Thanks so much.
Sincerely Yours,

My crystal report viewer control has the toolbar enabled, and I fixed it so the images now display.
When I click the Export or Print buttons, nothing happens. I don't see anywhere to override their function either.
I notice many sample report pages contain a separate Print button which handles this. I'd avoid this if possible.

There is formA.aspx having grid and many controls. Now, there is another requirement that there needs to be another textbox and button on top of the form on the basis of which the formA will be populated. This should be formB.
I dont want to add everything on formA into formB. Just want to call formB from formA without redirecting to another page.
How can I do this without using usercontrol becoz this is just needed once and putting it as a user control will be my last chance.
Can you suggest simple method other than going for MDI?
Thanks

|
There's no such thing as MDI in ASP.NET. Just add the textbox and button and set their visibility. Or make the user control, it's not hard.

SmtpMail may require a user name and password as well as a valid from recipient. Also, is your local IIS setup as SMTP?

SmtpMail is obsolete in .net 2.0.
Maybe try using the SmtpClient instead. So...
<br />
SmtpClient client = new SmtpClient( "localhost" );<br />
client.Send( message );<br />
