The link works for me. What is your problem?

2 things:
1. Pay attention to rule 7 on forum usage.
2. You only posted your original question 90 mins ago. Please be more patient!

I think I understand your problem. This is in the C# forum, the link takes us to the ASP.NET forum. You've found the 'cross post' bug. To prevent this bug from happening, stick with your original posts, in the original forums and give the people answering your questions a little more help/information than you are doing.
People will spend less time on your numerous posts if you start to cross post / duplicate posts / just post links to other posts you've already made.

It's here usual practice. She will post in one forum and do advertise that in all other forums.. Interesting right ?

Hey, the 'new' keyword is to explicitly hide the base class members
But, if you want to use it, you have to call the method from the derived class. In this case you surely need to create a reference of the derived class other than a original base class reference.
Since you have already created the Program object to a user reference, all you need to do is to perform a cast:
(Program)u.print();

It's working just fine. You have a reference to user , so when you use the print method, the method in the user class is used.
If you want the method in the Program class to be used when you have a Program instance references by a reference to user, you have to use a virtual method instead of using the new modifier.

Hi, Is there any way of Disabling System Sounds (during the lifetime of my Application) which we hear when we Show Messageboxes like Critical, Exclamation, Information, Error etc. I dont want all these as long as my App is Running.
Any Thoughts??

Hi,
I guess you will have to use follwing in your application.
[DllImport("User32.dll", ExactSpelling=true)]
private static extern bool MessageBeep(uint type);
play what ever sound you want to play.

Hi,
I am currently developing a Client Server application which it has to be as secure as possible and i was wondering if it would be a good idea to combine SSL and SSH to send the data over the network. I found a few good libraries to do the SSL and TSL part and it works really good however i am a little concerned about the SSH part.
What do you think?
In case that you think it is a good idea would it be best to send SSH over SSL or to send SSL over SSH.
Thanks

How about encrypting the data before sending it ?
|
|
|
|

I did so.
Basically my concern is security. I want to be completely sure that the data is safe.
So that is why i would like to know if it is a good idea to combine both ssl and ssh.
Thanks for replying so fast...

I don't have much idea on using SSL on windows applications. We ensured the security by implementing encryption to data. Till now no issues happened. So I felt that's secure. SSL also doing the same job, by encrypting data.

Thanks again for replying,
I think i am so concerned about security because i am newbie to the C# world and this application is my final step to graduate from the university and i want it to be perfect but there is still a lot to learn: SQL management from the server, client Authentification, data display on a website, reading a fingerprint reader from the client and so much more, that i just can't sleep.
So you think that just encrypting the data would be ok?
By the way let me ask this: I want to stop windows from executing any process but one service that i will develop to read the fingerprint reader and validate an user, once the verification process is completed i want to run an application only but then block it again, is there a way to do that?
If you want me i can give you the link of a few good SSL libraries for C# and Visual Basic.
Regards,
Luis
