In this case I suggest remoting. Because will be more faster and then you only will have a bottleneck(WS). If you use WS it will be slower.

I want to realize the following:
During one loop, a status form window is displayed, it is closed when the loop is done. but I want to stop the loop before the loop finishes. I have one button on the status form to be clicked to stop. Then I use Application.DoEvents() inside the loop to realize above funciton (according to Martin's suggestion). but I found I have to click the form window first, or else the button on this form does not response. I have tried Activate() and Focus(), neither does work.
Anyone can give me one hint for that?
thanks!

Application.DoEvents() sometimes is not suficient... Why don't you try to do the same(status form with cancel button) but put the loop inside a new thread, and if button is pressed break the loop (and then the new thread will finnish)?

Well you could slightly cheat. Simply move the 'hidden' file somewhere else.
Its not really good to control someones machine like your describing though, i mean, its my hard drive, my data, and if i want to copy it, i will.
My current favourite word is: Waffle
Cheese is still good though.

I dont know what you want say me.
The file which i want to hide is on a Net Drive and not on local Machine.

Change the file permissions of that file so the user cannot open/change/copy it? If that will cause problems with your app then set your app to run part of itself as a different user.

Hi ,
You can embed it as a resource in your project exe file

Wait, you can change the security permissions of the file. I'm not sure how you can do that through c#, but maybe you could look into it.

Cheese is still good though.

Hi guys,
I've developed a C# desktop application. I'd like to add some crash reporting features to it. The next time an unhandled exception occurs, I'd like the application to generate a minidump, which it mails me, which I can use to debug the application.
Is there and free library avaialble online. I tried Googling but couldn't find anything. All i found was one for VC7 on CodeProject.
Thanks in advance guys!
Cheerios!

You presented us with some rather badly worded information, and forgot to ask a question.

O.K
what are the steps that i need to do to connect my DB to my APP?
How do read that data?
i heard about ole DB but it confused me, i like to know the right oreder of
things that i do the minute i finished creating the DB in MS access...
if there is an examle here like ole bd to beginners and so on
or an example of creating it to an APP reading writing
all the methods to handle db

The answer to your question is not possible in a single forum post. There are literally thousands of examples and tutorials about connecting to, and retreiving data from, a database using C#.

Hi ,
You should work on ADO.Net to find the answer of all these kinds of questions .

I am new to C#. I need to connect to a remote printer and pause/resume/cancel jobs in that printer. Using WMI, iam able to connect to a specific system and view the jobs, pause/resume jobs. The problem is how to connect directly to a printer.
I have looked at a few examples from the net and WMI Code Creator. but all are using user name and password to connect to a specific system. But i need to connect directly to a network printer which contains jobs from several systems. Some of the sites have tool to connect to a printer directly without asking for username and password. Can some one suggest a URL, book or show me an example to connect directly to a printer.
Expecting reply soon. I would really appreciate the help.
Thank you.
