I thought this[^] note would enable the developer to specify a dependency on the .NET framework and SQL server.

Hello,
I have a checkedListBox that holds string values of a key.
I have dictionary with the same key values and another value assigned to a key.
No I want a function to iterate threw the dictionary and when meeting specific criteria,
to go to the same key in the CheckedListBox and sign it checked.
how do I do that???
my biggest problem is the the key itself(I think is the Item) is different from the control
I want to check the control, after investigating a criteria with the item.
thanks for your help.

I have a Project in ASP.NET 2.0. I am trying to convert into ASP.NET 1.1
during conversion I am getting the following below error.
What is the reason behind that?
Please do suggest in this regard.
Error is:
"Error while trying to run project: unable to start debugging on the web.server.
server side-error occurred on sending debug http request.
make sure the server is operating correctly. verify there are no syntax errors
in web.config be doing a debug.start without debugging.
you may also want to refer to the asp.net and atl server debugging
topic in the online documentation."

Hi All,
I want to paas a value from the mdi form to child form.
on click of a menu item.
Please help.
Regards,
Ahmad

Write an overloaded constructor which takes this value.
|
|
|
|
|
Just add a public member function or property on your child form, and call that.
You can use an MDI parent form's ActiveMdiChild[^] property to get at the currently activated child.
|
|
|
|
|
Try to add a property to original form and pass the form as a parameter on constructor of new form. If you want to pass the value not in initialization time, add new event to original form and subscribe it in the new.

The previous post has some extremely badly formed HTML in it somewhere which appears to be messing up things a little.

But I just used copy/paste for the post which is displayed normally so it should have the same html

I want to move desktop wallpaper left,right,up,down.
How can I do that?
Thank you!
|
|

You can't directly, since the wallpaper positioning options are limited to center, tile or stretch.
However, you could get the current wallpaper, and blit it into a larger bitmap at the desired position, save the new bitmap, and set that as the wallpaper

Hi,
Can anyone help me by explaining the implementation of the below method,
FormsAuthentication.HashPasswordForStoringInConfigFile("password", "SHA1");
since I have to implement the same hashing function in java1.5.
below is my equivalent java code (but it is not returning the same result as .NET counterpart):
public static String encryptPassword(String password)
{
String enyPass;
try
{
MessageDigest messageDigest = MessageDigest.getInstance("SHA-1");
messageDigest.update(password.getBytes("UTF8"));
//enyPass = new sun.misc.BASE64Encoder().encode(messageDigest.digest());
enyPass = new BigInteger(messageDigest.digest()).toString(16);
messageDigest.reset();
}
catch(Exception ex)
{
enyPass=null;
}
return enyPass;
}
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Vythees
