Hi,
I am developing intranet website.it automatically takes username as user logs in to system using active directory.
using User.Identity.Name and gives msg to user as welcome Mr. to our Intranet application.
this entire application is under inetpub/wwwroot in my system.it is not on server.
My computer name is bhuraa.
now, i tried it to start from another computer using http://bhuraa/intraApplication.
It works absolutely fine.even displays welcome msg as per system username.
But now the problem is here.
I am trying to fetch user information from active directory.User already logged in.
It works fine only on my pc(system). I tried it from another computer.it doesnt work.even using another username or my username.
so, please help me out where could be wrong ? i need to configure something ?

You can't. The css file has to be linked from the head section of the page.
You can add a link element to the Page.Header.Controls collection. If your control can be used more than once in a page, you have to check so that the element is only added once.

The datagrid is rendered as a table...try to get the id of the the textbox and then access the value...

Im trying to create some aspx menus but all I can find are licensed ones.
Im looking to use Visual Studio this time, but dont knw wher to start.I was using another software but requires licence so Im thinking of using VS.
Is there another great software that i can maybe download and use without any licencing.Thank you in advance.

Hello Everyone,
I've designed a placeholder which takes some links from the database at run-time like monthname(Jan,Feb,Mar,Apr,..........)
And now i want to enhance it..
I want as i click on Jan link then it should bring images of month Jan.
If i click on Feb link then it should bring images of month Feb.......
and so on.....

Next, I want as an user clicks on a link like Jan then it must bring the images belongs to month Jan. If he clicks on Feb then he should brings images of Feb month.....

So the link takes you to a page with a querystring set with the month. You select a set of links from a database that have that month as their date and you show them on the page in a repeater or some such.
Is that what you want? Not so difficult in this case? Which part of this are you having th problem with?

I'll try to explain it again.
I have a web page. This page contains a PlaceHolder and this placeholder brings or holds some links created by the admin at runtime. Not when we design the page i mean there is no exact no. of the links to be created by the admin. Let an admin create Four links like Jan,Feb,Mar,Apr.....
Now i want as the client clicks on Jan link then a panel or imageButton should display the image of month Jan and if he/she clicks on Feb link then image of Feb month should display

You can have multiple forms but only one can be server-side e.g with
runat="server"..

If you look at this codeproject page, there are two forms. One is Search form, other contains controls for filtering/viewing messages (you can do view source & search for form tag).

I said this page, and I really mean THIS page (e.g here[^] The reason why you want more forms is simple - they have different action attribute, so while the search form sends data to search.asp page, the other form submits data to different page.
