hi all
i have some values on html page in javascript. i want to get that values in C#. how to do that.
I tried displaying it on a label, and retreave it from there.
This is the function in javascript
function display()<br />
{<br />
var localpath1 = document.getElementById('lblerr');<br />
lblerr.innerText = localpath;<br />
} it is diplaying the value on label. lblerr is the id of label. am calling this function on pageload
but when i try to get the value using lblerr.text, it is showing null.
y is it so?
how to get value on the label

innerText is a different property its not same as .Text.
Make a hidden variable in a form with runat="server" and assign it that value.
In .aspx
In javascript u can write
document.getElementById('hdnVar').value = localpath;
and in c#
lblerr.Text = hdVar.value.ToString();
Try it, It should work.
Prateek...
Prateek..

what is this?
how to rectify this.

Try using this:
if (this.IsPostback)
{
string value = Request["lblerr"];
}
Hope it helps.
PS:
Don't open new topics....continue on the one already opened and try explain more detailed. Another hint: This is the C# forum...there is an ASP.NET forum also.

Probably by doing alot of graphics coding. Sorry I wasn't very specific, but your question is out of the scope of a post.

Why oh why don't you search Google or CodeProject? A simple search and I found this [^] article on CP. You can also try this [^]. Search the web...try...and if you have problems post here.

if you want to upolad picture then do it and same the image path on database.
and in user profile while retriving the information , give the image path on the Picture box.
|
|
|
|
|
which control should i need to store picture ???
thanks 4 ur last reply bt being a beigner i dont fully understand
|
|
|
|
|
you do not need any control to store in image.
when user select a picture to upload , then it will stored in a local drive
e.g:
ur application run on com1, com2, com3 and there is a server
now com1 user upolad his image , then the image will save in server
e,g: server\com1user\photo
now store that path in database with all other information . now while retraving , just retrive the path as string and give image1 url= stringpath
Now i think it is clear to you.
Good luck

Hi All,
(Visual C#, System.Drawing, GDI+)
I have developed a drawing area where i have drawn "Sample Text" in rectangle. The properties (Color and Font of text) are displayed in PropertyGrid.
Problem: if i change the color of text (in PropertyGrid), color of text is NOT changed immediately. It is changed only if i click on the text.
Any solution??

I don't know why GE' designed it's API this way: you can get features like placemarks, but they don't have the Lon/Lat info at all! Yes, you can make GE "fly" there and then you can get the Lon/Lat via the camera, but the prerequisit is the feature's HasView==1. In practice I found most features don't have view.
How can I get the Lat/Lon of a feature?

Not sure, have you looked through all of their documentation?
