It is created in VS2005. You can open the files individually and learn how it is created. Read the article to get an idea how to create such a control.

Respected Gurus
I have to run a batch file in a web application(ASP.net).I am using the following code on click of a web control button.
Try
System.Diagnostics.Process.Start(Server.MapPath("Imports\DumpPrmaster.bat"))
Catch ex As Exception
lblError.Text = ex.Message
End Try
Problem is that i can run this batch file while being on the server.But not from the client machine.
How can i run this batch file stored in the Imports folder of my project from the client.
dtsrun /SserverIP /Uajay /PPassword /NDTS_Name
is the code inside my batch file.
Thanks
Ajay

Are you trying to run this file on client machine ?

Exactly
I want to run the batch file stored on the server being on a client.

It won't be possible since it's a security violation. You can't execute any scripts on client browser. If your client allows to install activex, you can create on that runs this batch file.

Give execute permission to aspnet login for web application

you can create an Activex control that run's the batch file, embed it in the aspx page, while loading the page; prompt a message and convince the user to install it on the machine.

Perhaps the link to the excel sheet is pointing to a local system directory. Verify it.

ya it is pointing to local system dirctory,
bt my requirement is like dis only,it has to
open in my system and also in client side
also
|
|
|
|
|
Then you should point the excel sheet link to the server folder...
<asp:HyperLink NavigateUrl="~/somefolder/mysheet.xls" .... >
so that it opens on every system. remember "~" denotes you web application name.

If your [web project] or [virtual directory] name is sts_project then simply provide url as
<asp;hyperlink navigateurl="~/dispatchtemp.xls" id="hlXls" runat="server" text="Excelsheet">
I hope this works fine for you...

Like original server control, they have their own properties visible on 'Properties windows' (buttom-right of IDE).
How can i add my own attributes & events for my user control and make them visible on 'Properties windows'?
Thank
=)
