In what format dates are stored in "master_date"
As you are using 105 (style) it should be in "dd-mm-yy" format

hi
you can use convert() function for converting data type and insert it in to the child Table.
eg: INSERT INTO CHILD
SELECT CONVERT(VARCHAR,FIELD1) FROM INSERTED

eg: INSERT INTO CHILDTABLE
SELECT CONVERT(FIELD1),CONVERT(FIELD2),FIELD3
FROM INSERTED

I can do a select within a dataset to search for a string. This works great.
When I try to do the select to search for a number I get a 'does not evaluate to a Boolean term'.
For example- matchingRows() = ds.Tables("Generations").Select("id = 3")
I get a simular error when I try to create a dataview that keys off of a number.
How do you search a dataset for a numeric value?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Dear
I am getting a error called "rsReportParameterProcessingError" from a report i deployed in sql sever reporting services (Sharepoint 3.0) in a sever A. the parameter which cause this error is 'EndDate' which set to returin the value of one day before report generation day, code as: =CDate(Format(Dateadd("d",-1,now()),"dd/MM/yyyy"))
The report is running fine and returning no error in either Visual Studio or other severs.
Could you please advise what setting in the sever might cause this error and how do i change the configration in Sever A to fix that?
Thank you very much,
Candy

Have you checked the report server logs? You should be able to get more descriptive error details from there.

I have a SQL server that is setup for a few very small use applications. It is a very nice server and can handle a high workload, but is not getting even 1% of what it could handle. I just made a website with a simple login form that checks username and password when you click a login button.
The problem is sometimes, and I can't tell why, I'll get a 'can't connect to SQL database' error. But if I try again it works. Again, sometimes I don't even have the problem... This server is available still for the other applications so I don't know why this is happening.
Any suggestions? Anyone seen this before?

Post complete error message, also try to look in performance monitor to check number of concurrent connections and connection pool.

I will as soon as the error comes up again.

An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. Some time ago, a plugin for Sql Server Management Studio was available here @ codeproject.
It was called "Enisey Data Scripter"
It has disappeared !
This http://www.codeproject.com/useritems/enisey.asp links to a "Page not found"
I have it installed on my machine but lost the installer.
Does anyone have this installer or the source ?
