I am sending the GetClientSideControl() code.. Tell me soon...if you find the solution.
function GetClientSideControl(document,ControlId)
{
var ctl;
var d=document.all;
var intLength=document.forms[0].length;
var i=0;
var id='';
for(i=0;i<intLength;i++)
{
id=document.forms[0].item(i).id;
if (id==ControlId)
{
ctl=document.forms[0].item(i);
return ctl;
}else
{
arr=id.split("_");
for(j=0;j<arr.length;j++)
{
if (arr[j]==ControlId)
{
ctl=document.forms[0].item(i);
return ctl;
}
}
}

Can you try again with 1 textbox only? Because I don't think that it will work since the signatures are different...

I have written below code in GridView_RowDataBound
<br />
int no;
if(no < 3)<br />
{<br />
e.Row.Cells[1].CssClass = "MyClass";<br />
}
Here problem is there that, If I am putting debug point then Its showing correctly. But if I am not putting any debug point and running application then its updating all row's cell format as per last Css. Dont know whats problem with it ?
Thanks,

Have you tried to break for all the items in GridView ? Is your code inside a try,catch block ? If yes comment it and check once.

Hi,
ya I have checked with all possibilities.
If I am debugging line by line my code then its not giving any error, And giving desired output.
But if I am not putting any debug point then its not updating CSS.
Thanks,

Do you have SMTP server in your LAN?? Your error message seems like you don't have that server.

Hi all,
I need to set the date format of item template column in grid view 2.0 to dd/MM/yyyy. i need this format to appear always dispite what the user put the system date. i have used the following code in global.asax, but still is changing when the user changes the system date format.
<br />
Protected Sub Application_Start(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs)<br />
Dim ci As System.Globalization.CultureInfo = System.Threading.Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture.Clone()<br />
ci.DateTimeFormat.LongTimePattern = "dd/MM/yyyy"<br />
ci.DateTimeFormat.FullDateTimePattern = "dd/MM/yyyy"<br />
ci.DateTimeFormat.ShortDatePattern = "dd/MM/yyyy"<br />
System.Threading.Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture = ci<br />
End Sub<br />
Also in item template i have put the format :
Text='<%# Bind("cCloseDate"), "{0 }" %>'
Any ideas why????

I have tried your solution before and put
Text='<%# Bind("cCloseDate", "{0:dd/MM/yyyy}") %>'
it solved half of my problem since it returned dd-MM-yyyy while i need the seperator / and not -. it returned seperator as - since my system date seperator is -. What i need is to return dd/MM/yyyy dispite of what the system date or seperator is!
Thanks

Hi,
I am using a Master page in my project which is displayed with each webpage i open on clicking respective hyperlink.
Now what i want is... i want to display the Title of the webpage which i have clicked to open, to be displayed in a label which is placed on the Master Page.
And the name of the lable shuold change every time a webpage is opened depending upon its Title.
how to do this?
|
|
|
|
|
Hi
for that you have to find label control of master page from content page,
and then you can change text of label there.
lbl=(Label)Page.Master.FindControl("MyLabel");<br />
lbl.Text = "My Test Page";
Thanks,
Sun Rays

Instead of finding the label control, I'd recomend you to put a public property on master page and set it from the content page like Page.Master.LabelProperty = YourValue
Why I suggested this than finding control is, if your label control got renamed, then you need to change in all the content pages. But if you are exposing this through a property, it is enough to change only in one place.

The Input Type Password would mask the characters bieng typed. However, ensure that the password still goes unencrypted over the wire.
