Yet another way:
if ( args.Length > 2 )
{
int index = args [ 0 ].IndexOf ( args [ 1 ] ) ;
if ( index >= 0 )
{
args [ 0 ] = (new System.Text.StringBuilder ( args [ 0 ] )).Replace ( args [ 1 ] , args [ 2 ] , index , args [ 1 ].Length ).ToString() ;
}
System.Console.WriteLine ( args [ 0 ] ) ;
}

How about this? Thanks for the opportunity.
public static string
Replace
(
string Subject
,
string Old
,
string New
,
ushort MaxReplacements
)
{
System.Text.StringBuilder result = new System.Text.StringBuilder ( Subject.Length ) ;
string[] parts = Subject.Split
(
new string[] { Old }
,
(int) MaxReplacements+1
,
System.StringSplitOptions.None
) ;
result.Append ( parts [ 0 ] ) ;
for ( int runner = 1 ; runner < parts.Length ; runner++ )
{
result.Append ( New ) ;
result.Append ( parts [ runner ] ) ;
}
return ( result.ToString() ) ;
}

Hi,
I have a textbox which get a number(Amount of money) from user.
i want to show the enterd number like this : 0,000,000(1,123,145)(automatically add (,) after 3digits enterd)
when i use masking it doesn't work the way i want it ,
can any one help me on this?

Winform or webform?
In winform, you can use MaskedEdit standard control.. In web form, you have to find the custom control (e.g. http://www.codeproject.com/useritems/MaskingText_for_ASPNET.asp)

If your text is static, you can use #,###,###(#,###,###) in Standard masked edit. if you want to enter the text as much as you want then you should consider using thoundsand seperator function in keypress event of textbox..

Try to enter the real paragraph.. sometimes, people used to entry "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" or something with space . this is wrong. So, try to enter the real paragraph (maybe, copy from news or somewhere) and see whether it works or not..

hi,
i am actually trying with a real paragraph which is obtained dynamically. when i put a dummy paragraph and tested its working fine.
but when i put the dynamic content which contains more paragraphs, the text is not wrapped properly.
Any ideas?
and thanks for the response.

What about trying the dynamic content as a static content? For example: You store the text in database, right? so, copy this text and pasted in HTML. check whether it is wrapped properly or not.
or you can show us the content that you stored in database. then, we can test in our side and will let you know the result..
Thanks and Regards,

hi,
Thanks so much for your help. i got it working now. i had added the picturebox and two textboxes during design time. now i added them at runtime and set the all properties again.
now its working fine although i have a vertical scrollbar for the textbox. but without that the panel becomes so big so its better i have the vertical scrollbar.
thanks once again for your help.
Regards
Anuradha

Several Projects used a Class in developing.
When these projects finish, they will be incorporated.
How to use the class in these projects.

Hello,
i am working on C# 2.0 winforms.
I have a ListView, in this there are 5 columns, in second column an icon need to be displayed.
my code as follows...
<br />
listView1.Columns.Add("");<br />
listView1.Columns.Add("");<br />
listView1.Columns.Add("one");<br />
listView1.Columns.Add("two");<br />
listView1.Columns.Add("three");<br />
<br />
listView1.FullRowSelect = true;<br />
listView1.GridLines = true;<br />
listView1.View = View.Details;<br />
listView1.SmallImageList = imageList1;
<br />
for (int I = 0; I <= 10; I++)<br />
{<br />
ListViewItem item = new ListViewItem("");<br />
item.SubItems.Add("");<br />
item.SubItems.Add("aaa"); <br />
item.SubItems.Add("bbb");<br />
item.SubItems.Add("cccc"); <br />
item.ImageIndex = 0;
listView1.Items.Add(item);<br />
}<br />
my problem is... item.ImageIndex = 0; is showing icon in only first column. i have to show icon in second column.
how to to do?
any sounds will be greatly appriciated.

Hi,
the best way to learn a new technology is by working your way through a book on it.
Which book, you'll ask, and I don't know, it depends on your background.
Microsoft has published a lot of good books, that work together with their tools.
I tend to go to the book shop, look at say ten books on the subject and then buy the 1 or 2 that I like most (often one tutorial, one reference manual).
Furthermore CodeProject has a lot of nice articles and useful forums, where you can ask
specific questions when you are stuck.
