You relaly need to pickup a book on VB.NET for Beginners. The ability to show another form is a very basic skill you must have in order to be successful in developing code in ANY language.
Here's the documentation on two methods of showing a form, complete with examples:
Form.Show method[^]
Form.ShowDialog method[^]

Seems like alot of people around here lately trying to do things beyond their apparent capabilities.

Use the Show or ShowDialog method. But, you really should get a book first.

I've added the following code to a test project trying to list the current instances of Windows Explorer that are running.
The response I get in a message box is:
System__ComObject, not the window title.
Thanks again

i want to give color of perticular item in menu bar when it got focus in vb6
can any one suggest me how to do it
|
|
|
|

This would involve ownerdrawing the menu since VB6 doesn't expose any properties to do this for you.
This[^] is about the only example I could find. VB6 examples are getting harder and harder to come by since it's been a dead language for some time now.

How to handle close button (red Cross)of windows form?
|
|
|
|

use the 'formclosed' or 'formclosing' event off the form

It worked..
Thank you so much!
What should i do if i want all my forms should hide when user clicks Close button(red cross). At present it is not happening
I have to stop manually(in project window) even if I close using the same button
|
|
|
|
|
so you want to hide all the forms when the red cross is clicked.
say you have 2 forms: form1 and form2 (original I know )
form2 is opened with the click on a button on form1
now when the user clicks the close button(red cross) off form2 we need to hide form2 and form1
in the formclosing event of form2 put the following code
<br />
For Each frm As Form In Application.OpenForms<br />
frm.Hide()<br />
Next<br />
e.Cancel = True<br />
tested and works
sidenote: this will only work for hiding the forms closing them like this will NOT work and you'll get an error.
sidenote 2: you will have to put this code in every form that needs this functionality
hope this helps

Surely you don't expect somebody to hand you a complete application?
Post what you have already tried and say where you are stuck, and maybe we can try and help...

I think unfortunately some people expect that.

True... even within this one page, there are so many "requests" for complete source code...
Somebody will need to write a macro to reply to these
