I have created a small window on dialog box which looks like just a border. Window is displaying perfectly. I want that this window should not move or resize.
CRect mRect(20, 20, 50, 50);
CWnd* m_pSelWnd->Create(NULL,NULL,WS_CHILD | WS_VISIBLE |WS_THICKFRAME, mRect,this,1234);
How could I handle this?
please help me for this....

Not rezisable is easy to get,
WS_SYSMENU | WS_CAPTION | WS_OVERLAPPED
but non moveable...
I guess you can hold the coordinates that you set to the window and moving yourself the window when they change.
Greetings.

Are you handling the WM_SIZING message?

I am doing a cilent server application, where the server has many database files(.mdb).
When the client wants to query the server's databases, how will the server retrive those datas and send it to the client ? I am using Casynsocket

In exactly the same way it would if the database was on the same machine. Where the database resides should be of no concern to the client code.
Is your client code using CDatabase and CRecordset ?

I'm using CRecordset.But how to send the recordset object to the client? when i send the recordset to the client, it shows errors.Should i serialize the result?If so how?
OR
What data structure should be used to transfer the retrieved datas from server to client.

And if it is using a DSN, which also resides on the client side, that DSN should be configured to "point to" the database on the other machine.

Use list from the STL.

Hello everyone,
When building my project (Visual Studio 2005 DLL project for C++ Smart Device), there is link error,
error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol __security_check_cookie
I can solve this error by adding secchk.lib to link input import libraries.
My questions,
1. I am not using __security_check_cookie explicitly, why there is such error?
2. Is it correct to solve this issue by adding secchk.lib as linker input import libraries?
thanks in advance,
George

Hi Mike,
On Windows Pocket PC 2003 platform (Visual Studio 2005), there is no such 3 import library files,
bufferoverflowU.lib bufferoverflowK.lib bufferoverflow.lib
You can try to create a Pocket PC 2003 application project and add the 3 import libraries to linker --> input, then there will be error like the lib files can not be found.

George

Hello everyone,
If I change the entry point to main in linker --> advanced (default is empty). Then there will be an error box,
can not find MSVCR80D.dll. What is wrong with my code? (if I change the entry point of application from main to empty, there is no such error)
<br />
static int i = 100;<br />
<br />
int main(int argc, char** argv)<br />
{<br />
int j;<br />
<br />
return 0;<br />
}<br />
I am using Visual Studio 2005 console application project.
thanks in advance,
George
