what i want to do is
textBox txtCopyBookISBN
if input lenght = 7 then it should call other function automatically
my code is below

Problem is, I have to press Enter to Execute If txtCopyBookISBN.Text.Length = 7 Then , i want it automatically, like I am scanning a barcode after scanning I should get a answer

Write client-side javascript code to handle the keypress event for the INPUT control. After every keypress, check the length of the text in the control. When the length of the text reaches 7 characters, invoke a postback.

You forgot the question.
Appending your subject to the end of the message, you want to know how to fire an event after the textbox action is completed:
1) You can either use AUTOPOSTBACK=true for serverside textbox.
2) onBlur event of javaScript and then use XmlHttp to communicate to the server.

Hi..
My company wants me to make a menu similar to the one in the following website:
I tried to do it using asp.net menu control (with site map and without sitemaps) but in both cases I face problems with styling the Menus(especially the Static Menu).I also have the Hover effect only to the text in the menu item and not to the hole menu item(in the dynamic menu). Could any one explain to me these issues.
I am too late but i will never give up

Hi Everybody,
Quick and crazy question: Can a radiobutton (ASP.Net 1.x) be part of more that just on group?
Picture a 3X3 matrix of radio buttons, where each radio button belongs to two groups.
e.g. Group1: all radio buttons with the matrix row.
e.g. Group2: all radio buttons with the matrix column.
The idea is to have only one valid Radiobutton per row and column.

AFAIK, there is no build-in support for grouping the radiobutton in ASP.NET 1.1. Only way you can do is that create your own radiobutton or find the custom control that is created by others. OR, you should use ASP.NET 2.0 that support this feature by default.

I'd created a Report Server Project (in Business Intelligence Projects of Project Types Of visual Studio).
Now how can Show the reports in this project in a web form, this type of projects do not have web form to add to it.

You'll have to create an ASP.NET web application to show reports on a web page. The Report Server project is only used for creating your reports.
Use the ReportViewer[^] web server control to display your reports on an ASP.NET web page.

I think the only alternative is having Cookieless Sessions which is not recommended because it's more open to session hijacking.

The Session is maintained on the server however, it has a pointer cookie (SessionID) stored, which might be disabled due to high security settings of web browser.

Setting the Browser security high will restrict executing Javascript, Activex control, Cookies. Keeping the security Medium and allowing Cookies to be stored in the machine is harmless. Cookies are not bad programs to harm the system. It's a piece of info which is used to have a session with the server. So If the user is so concious about his system security let him have the firewall enabled and anti-virus installed. Even after doing this if he still needs more security by having the browser security high then let him not access your site. This is the only solution If the browser security is high. Because I would not recommend anyone to develop a site with cookieless session which would be failure eventually.
