I think you can set the color of specific columns in RowDataBound event of gridview,and also you can implement this by javascript alternatively

I think the dynamic control will be lost while postback. You will have to keep on adding on every pageload.

Hi All,
Is there any ways to know which all applications are using a particular assembly installed in Global Assembly Cache (GAC)?
Thanks in advance

You question is not much clear to me could you kindly explain in details.
you can use Assembly Class for that
GlobalAssemblyCache :Gets a value that indicates whether the assembly was
loaded from the global assembly cache

Is there a way I can get the websites port number when I don't have access to the current HttpContext object (because it's executing as a background thread, not processing an HTTP request)?

I don't think that you can hide it. It's shown by browser and you don't have much control on that

Hi,
In the code snippet below (To hide/Unhide a DIV):
<script language="JavaScript">
function showHideContent(id, show)
{
var elem = document.getElementById(id);
if (elem)
{
if (show)
{
elem.style.display = 'block';
elem.style.visibility = 'visible';
}
else
{
elem.style.display = 'none';
elem.style.visibility = 'hidden';
}
}
}
</script>
<div id="someRegion">
This text will be displayed or hidden when clicking the appropriate button below...
</div>
<input type="button" value="Hide Content">
onclick="showHideContent('someRegion', false);">
<input type="button" value="Show Content">
onclick="showHideContent('someRegion', true);">
I replaced input type with asp:Button, but it doesn't work. Why is that?
Regards,
Blumen</input></input>

Are you putting you click event in the onClientClick attribute? Onclick in an asp:button is a server side event.
|
|
|
|
|
i used the Onclick event.. i tried to add it as Button1.Attributes.Add()
|
|
|
|
|
When you say it doesn't work, what actually happens?
|
|
|
|
|
When I use an ASP:Button control, the following happens:
1. Page Postsback
2. The DIV becomes invisible for a second and when the page completes postback, it again appears (visible).
Correct me if I'm wrong, asp:Button is a server side control, INPUT Button is a HTML client side control, right?
Is there another difference?

Yes, essentially. But also no - both can postback to the server, or perform on the client as you need.
The onClientClick event on the server button will run some client code and then postback to the server, UNLESS the client code returns a false value. e.g.
function myJSFunction()
{
//Do something
return false;
}
ASP button client click event:
"return myJSFunction();"
Will not postback.
The reason that your div keeps coming back, is that the page is reloaded every postback.
