Well, it depends on how you wrote the other system.. it's not so easy to give the correct answer to improve the performance of application.. That's why the most of companies hires the tester to test the application (including the performance issue) and the project leader or someone to review the code of the project.. because there are a lot of programmers who just want workdone and don't care about performance. Soon or later, it's gonna be huge problem..

It could be a wide variety of things causing your app to perform slower on other machines. Network, hardware on the other machine, etc. Cannot really tell except you should probably look for places where the code is bottlenecking.

sir my code contains many for loops for checking the datatable is this is the problem

It very well could be. You really should try not to query the database inside for loops. It can be a big performance killer.

sir its not a database its just a datatable sir

Sorry, kind of late here and eye are going Even with datatable you can still get a performance hit looping through it over and over. You aren't accessing the database at all with the datatable, what I mean is refreshing the datatable, hence still hitting up the database?

sir actually my datatable consists of two columns prensent value and prevoius value and iam assing this datatable to the grid view .now iam having a text box to enter the value this enter valu will come in the datatable present value column now and iam again assing to the grid view now iam checking with the previous value if they are not equal then blue colr will come to the grid view of that cell for this iam using the datatable to check for the previous value and present value that why iam using the for loop here..if i use the grid view insetead of the datatable the problem may solve?sir

Sounds like you are making calls to the database. You might want to experiment with a gridview. Or minimize the amount of looping you need to do.

Well, it depends. If you ask the ASP.NET web developer like me, I will tell you to learn about ASP.NET 3.5, MVC or WCSF, LINQ and Silverlight. Those are the future of the web.

Each one has there own benifits and future.
Eace course has their won features.

hey can any one help me to create the pdf files from database table data in asp.net
You probably need to use some third-party library for creating pdf on the fly.
ASP.NET create pdf[^]

its better to transfer the necessary data into XML and translate it using .FO.
a third party tool like ibex can develop its PDF data from the .FO file

iam using dropdown list. The dropdown list items are assigned by datatable.now in this dropdown list some items should be hide to the user is it possible or not.
You should remove those items before binding with Dropdownlist. You can remove those unwanted items from either SQL query or remove from code.
You can remove the items which are not appropriate to display for corresponding users... while of course no need to write back to db, otherwise, you will remove them for good...
