That line shouldn't create any problem.
What is included in the extern "C" block?
What file is compiling when the error message appears?

Hi,
Is there any time controller provided by MFC which display day,hour,minutes and seconds in following way
day:hour:minute:second
and for each there should be 2 buttons(like spin button) in top and botton to change the value
like to change hour there will be 2 buttons on top and bottom. Top button decrease the value and bottom button increase the value.
If no then how to create any button in triangular shape

CDateTimeCtrl. This control is located in the controls tool bar itself( Date time picker ).

It contains three integer fields and one string field. It gives only two buttons to change values.
i need a control which takes 4 fields. I needs two buttons for each type.
I think there is no such and i need to make it. Please give any link to make triangle type button

As NS17 said, create a region in a triangular shape and set it to the button.

I think you have to write your own control to show time like this.

Hi
I ahve a CListCtrl. When i insert a string of 260 characters only 259 characters are visible. 260th character is not getting displayed. Sometimes only 200 characters are getting displayed. The labels are not editable. Please help me on this issue.

From the docs:
"Note that although the list-view control allows any length string
to be stored as item text, only the first 260 TCHARs are displayed."

That is ok. But when i enter exactly 260 characters why only 259 characters are displayed. Why the 260th character is not displayed.
|
|

I would guess the list control allows 260 characters total for the string. Subtracting one position for the '\0' terminator leaves 259.
If you need to get around this limitation, you probably need to use custom draw[^].

Hi,
I have an MFC (VC6) app that uses a splitter window. There are buttons on the left and info is displayed on the right.
I have added a "Quit" button to the left splitter with the following code"
void CControlPanel::OnBtnQuit()
{
PostMessage(WM_QUIT);
}
And some clean up operation is done in CResidentialEstimatorApp::ExitInstance()
int CResidentialEstimatorApp::ExitInstance()
{
CString file;
file = GetPath("tempEst","html");
CleanUPm(file);
return CWinApp::ExitInstance();
}
The program crashes sometimes when the 'Quit' button is clicked. I can't figure out why this is happening. If the program is closed using the 'X' button or File-Exit from the menu, there is no problem.
Any help is highly appreciated!
Thanks,
Tara

Have you tried this?
AfxGetMainWnd()->PostMessage( WM_QUIT );

Thanks.
I have tried as you suggested. But the program still crashes.
For some reason, it is happening on some XP systems. It doesn't happen on my computer. Also if the 'X' button is clicked or File-Exit is clicked there is no problem. I just don't understand why this is happening.

Debugging the application may help you? If we got a "Abort Retry Ignore" message box when it crashes, then we can locate the code part.

It turned out that the computers on which this was happening, after re-installing MS Office, the problem disappeared.
I wonder why. Would you be having any idea?
The program only uses the IE browser to display reports; nothing else that would clash with MS Office.
