How about this?
s1 = <%=Application["sTemp1")%>;<br />
s2 = <%=Session["sTemp2"]%>;

Apologies if this offends.....
I struggled to find the same, and in the end, went down the 'email' chain to colleagues, who basically chain emailed it for me. A list is only the starting point. The problem is the variations....
We all know what f*ck off means. So you have to check for that. or Fu*k or f**k or even just f***. If somebody wrote in an email **** off, you'd still get the jist. Where do you draw the line. Now my client's "clients" have started reversing the words...kcuf is so obvious, as is kc*f etc. How about fook yoo. Another one we've come across.
Then there is letter substitution - sh1t. sh!t. Sh*t. s4it 5hit. 5h1t. And on it goes. Regex is your friend here. And finally, bracketing words, so we get aFUCKa off. (wonder if Chris will pick that up). Which means you can't rely on a whole word seach.
I can't release the list as my client 'owns' it.
And scunthorpe is in the list of exceptions!

Hi Guys,
I am using some java script in my asp.net that will check the value of the textbox'txtDescription' if it is empty or not. Meaning if it is empty it will return false and if it is not empty then it will execute the confirm message. But I don't know if what should I add in order to work.
The confirm('Changes have not been saved. Discard Changes?') is working but when I added the statement - if (document.getElementByID("txtDescription").value == ''){ return false; } this doesn't work anymore.
What I only wanted is to check the value of txtDescription. If it is not empty then the confirm message will show up when I click the cancel button.
Did I missed something in my code?
<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
function confirmation()
{
if (document.getElementById("txtDescription").value == '') {
return false;
{
var result = confirm('Changes have not been saved. Discard changes?');
if (result)
{
return true;
}
else
{
return false;
}
}
</script>

I think you are missing the closing } for first IF condition.
The javascript should look like:
<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript" >=""><br />
function confirmation() <br />
{ <br />
<br />
if (document.getElementById("txtDescription").value == '') {<br />
return false;<br />
<big>}</big><br />
<br />
var result = confirm('Changes have not been saved. Discard changes?'); <br />
if (result) <br />
{ <br />
return true; <br />
} <br />
else <br />
{ <br />
return false; <br />
}<br />
<br />
}<br />
</script>
|
|
|
|
|
even this should do
function confirmation()
{
if (document.getElementById("txtDescription").value == '') {
return false;
}
return ( confirm('Changes have not been saved. Discard changes?') );
}

I was aiming for the original poster, not you - sorry. I realised you just cut'n'paste the code.

Hi all,
I am using to display a path in the browser using the script(this is quite simple can copy the below line to .html should work fine).
<iframe id="DialogContent" src="c:\" style="background-color:transparent;" scrolling="auto" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true" width="100%" height="100%">
Every thing is fine except that I don't want to display the left menu in the explorer window. How can I achieve this any property to set with it.
Thanks in advance.

Everything is not fine. First off, most browsers won't do anything useful with such a URL at all - since "C:\" isn't actually a proper URL (file://c:/ might work). Second, the behavior of IE - which will display the filesystem browser - in this area isn't really in your control, as it would otherwise introduce a fairly unpleasant security hole.
I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish with this, but i suggest you stop and think about it a bit.

Hi Shog,
Thanks for your reply. Yes my path is not "c:\". I am trying to allow batch upload by drag and drop mode. I am using this as the web controls will not allow drag and drop functionality.

Hi,
I'm working on a solution to convert Word documents to PDFs through an internal website in C# .Net. I've used the conversion code successfully in a Windows app, but as it turns out we're not allowed to install anything on the machines where this conversion is necessary (long story). IE is available on these machines, so I thought a web-based version would work. The web page works fine when I run it through Visual Studio 2005, but when I browse to the page in IE, it won't even open the Word doc.
I get this error: "System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: This command is not available."
Here is the line of code that generates the error: "Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word.Document aDoc = WordApp.Documents.Open(ref fileName, ref missing, ref readOnly, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing, ref isVisible, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing);
I don't really want to open the Word doc; the user will have already created it and will be uploading it to the website via the FileUpload object.
The conversion program I'm currently working with is PrimoPDF. We haven't actually purchased it yet, so if someone has a better suggestion, I'm open to it.
Sorry for the longwindedness and thanks for any help!

Hi Kevin,
If you haven't purchased PrimoPDF - you might be using the demo version?
when you want to use the third party tool why are you making the call to open the word file? as in the line below.
Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word.Document aDoc = WordApp.Documents.Open(ref fileName, ref missing, ref readOnly, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing, ref isVisible, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing);
Generally the third party s/w providers will provide some user friendly mechanism such as below.
PDFCreator.GetInstance().Convert(SrcFilePath,TargFilePath);
I am using easyPDF for similar purpose, I am not sure of PrimoPDF . It should be simple. I think you need to go through the document.

Thanks for responding.
Yes, I am using the demo. As for opening Word, that came right from the instructions. I haven't tried easyPDF, but I'll take a look at it. Are you using it on a website?
Thanks again!
