Currently, the Spam and Abuse carry the following tooltips
1) Mark as Spam<br />
2) Mark as Abuse
I guess, Abuse, is more severe than a spam and hence mere marking alone wouldn't be sufficient. A suitable tooltip change like 'Report Abuse' instead of as in (2) would instill a sense of confidence to the user.

Let's hope that is exceptional.
When it occurs one will probably not want to read it at all, so it could be handy to:
- know it in advance, (how about showing the number of messages at the first message?)
- have a "move to next thread" and "move to previous thread" button.
[ADDED]
People wondering the length of a thread may browse the pages just to find out,
creating unnecessary server load.
How about trying to keep threads on a single page, by:
- not starting one more thread unless it will fit the page
- and for the first thread on a page allow to exceed the requested number of messages
by a small factor (say 2) ?
IMO this would improve navigation and readability.

See subject. This is plenty annoying for those of us who like plain-text emails (i'm assuming it works for HTML-format emails simply because i don't see anyone else complaining about it, though i haven't tested that theory).

After reading (I think it was) Marc's comment about having profile redirects such as http://www.codeproject.com/profile/1796977 I was thinking about the "feature" I've been wanting for a long time, having "proper" urls for the forums such as ~/forums/csharp.aspx redirects to the C# forum.
Also this would help search engines such as Google because they (often?) ignore the query string completely so they can't differentiate very easily between different forums.
I've taken the liberty of putting together some urlMappings since presumably you have a web.config file in which you can use these.

What in the search engine or in the urlMappings? I'm pretty sure that they're not ignored by ASP.NET because I (think) I used a similar thing in a project I did a while ago.
Regarding search engines they ignore the query string from what I understand (well most of the time) so they can't tell the difference between the C# and the VB.NET ( ) forums because it's simply a parameter. However if you have the C# as ~/forums/csharp.aspx and VB as ~/forums/vb.aspx although they're mapped with query strings internally the engines can find out the difference.
So for example if you were searching for a problem in VB on the CodeProject forums in Google it would hopefully return the vb.aspx results first rather than references to VB in the C# forums.
If that made any sense at all...

I've noticed that at the article forum, if someone posts, I don't get an email notification. For the first one, after I reply and they reply to my reply its fine after that.
