When a multithreaded application hits a breakpoint do all threads stop or just the one that hit the breakpoint? If the first one is true then what happens to the other threads when you step through your code?
thanks,
Mike

I am building an application using two forms. On form1 I have a list box, and two text boxes, one for a string and the other for an integer.
Form2 has two text boxes and a button. When the button is clicked, I would like the data (string and integer) diplayed in the textboxes on form2 to be displayed in the listbox on form1.Also when the item is selected in the listbox, I would like the string and integer to be displayed in the relevant textboxes on form1.
Please help..

With what? You haven't provided any code. Or are you expecting someone to do your work for you?
Read the MSDN documentation to learn about the properties and methods exposed by the textbox and listbox controls. Attempt to solve the problem yourself and post again if you have more specific questions.

I have two forms. One is used to add data and the other to view that data.
The first form is used to add items to a listbox (on the first form). How can those items be added to the second form, so that they are available in the combo listbox on the second form?

hai,
i do my project in vb.net 2005 windows application.In my project,currency is display like 1,213,456.00.so,i want to display the currency in india format like 12,13,456.00.how to do these in vb.net windows application.

You need to set your code to use an Indian locale. By defualt, your application will use US culture settings. The following example example produces the desired results using the Hindi (India) locale.
Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture = New CultureInfo("hi-IN")
Dim d As Double = 1213456.05
Console.WriteLine(d.ToString("N"))
A full list of the available cultures can be found here[^]

I am building an array so that items added in one form are made available to the second form.
I am able to update the array by editing and adding items, but how can I delete an item from the list, so that it is not available to either forms.

Hi,
I have taken an example from MSDN.
Public Function GetSchemaTable(ByVal connectionString As String) _
As DataTable
Using connection As New OleDbConnection(connectionString)
connection.Open()
Dim schemaTable As DataTable = _
connection.GetOleDbSchemaTable(OleDbSchemaGuid.Tables, _
New Object() {Nothing, Nothing, Nothing, "TABLE"})
Return schemaTable
End Using
End Function
I have called this function in my code on MS Access DB Connection String, and got DataTable object in return but I'm unable to find table names in DataTable object, can anyone please help me in that, what am I doing wrong.

When a form loads, a button is disabled. How can I get the button enabled after selecting an item in a combo box?
|
|
|
|
|
perhaps by adding some code based on an event that fires when a selection is changed,
and a property that enables a Control.
|
|
|
|
|
on the selected item changed event:
If the selecteditem is equal to what you specify then perform your action. i.e.
If combobox1.selecteditem = "example" then<br />
textbox1.enabled = true<br />
end if

Put
myButton.Enabled = True
in the event handler for the combo box selection changed event.

Can anyone please help with using multiple forms. I am trying to have more than one form on a program, so that data is shared between both those forms.

That's a bit vague. What exactly are you having a problem with?
Do you need to know how to open mulitple forms simultaneously?
SomeForm form = new SomeForm();
form.Show();
SomeForm is the name of your Form class.
Do you need to know how to pass data between forms?
Passing values between forms[^]
Something else?

You can't. All you can do is call the Read method to advance the DataReader to the next row and examine the return value from this method which indicates whether another row was available.

I have made up a custom control which generates thumbnails from a given list of images and displays them as pictureboxes in a panel. What I can't figure out is a way of giving the panel a focus so that once you click on one picture, you can then move around the thumbnails in the panel with the arrow keys. I have created selectnextthumb / selectprevthumb subs but how can I call these when the user presses the arrow keys. Even with a form keydown event it just cycles to the next control.
Thanks in advace,
Russell

Look into replacing the Panel with a boardless Form instead. The Panel control never get the input focus so it never fires off keyboard events. Forms do.
The key property of a Form you're looking for is TopLevel. Set it to false and you can treat the Form as a control, just like the Panel. The Form has a KeyPreview property that will let you handle the Form's Key events and control which PictureBox to select.
