He didn't specify which version of the framework he was using. In the absence of this information, I would have to assume he was using the latest version, i.e. v3.5.

Wait a minute guys, don't bother. I didn't determine which version of framworke I used, because I Suppose 3.5 a new version, and many Developers (maybe) still doesn't used it including me. I still using Version 2. anyway this is a task assigned to me not my option, so if we say create panels at run time and filter just 3 Questions and it's answers into panel that will be created according the numbers of questions in run time with 2 buttons Next And Previous to navigate between panels.
by the way, how we can make these buttons appears in each panel and take this answers(I mean take it's value True or False when clicking on the next button, I determine in the database the right answer), maybe we talking here about QueryStrng or similir, any help please.
thanks in advanced

You what they say about assuming.
If you are in the business you know that the vast majority of development shops have not taken up 3.5 yet.
BTW, very mature to vote down the posts because they point out your deficiencies.

Like I said, the OP didn't specify which version of the framework he was using. I suggested that if he was using v3.5 of the framework he could use the ListView control. This was intended to open a dialogue with the poster, where I could have explored other options if he wasn't using this version.

I didn't vote down the posts, and I resent the accusation that I did. Maybe I'm not the only one guilty of making assumptions .

You could use the same control, say a Panel, to insert the text as needed. You don't really need to create separate pages.
BTW: This doesn't require 3.5

If you look at the source for this page, you can see that the showing/hiding of controls is done using javascript. Just download the .js files referenced in the page if you want to understand how the code works.

Hi Friends,
I new to vb.net. In c#.net in GridView i use RowDataBound method and make a check if commandname is Delete i catch the linkbutton(Delete) by FindControl and on Click i give javascript method for Confirm. If Ok it goes to RowDeleting else Cancel.
I am trying something same in vb.net for DataGrid.
The button in DataGrid is
<asp:ButtonColumn Text="??a??af?" ButtonType="PushButton" CommandName="Delete"></asp:ButtonColumn>
Any idea how can Throw a Confirm Message on Click of This button?
Any help would be greatly appreicated
Thanks
Cheers

VB.NET is just like C#, except for the lack of ; and more verbose, and less challenging
In either case, rather than requiring a postback to inject javascript code into the page to display a confirm dialog, you could just use a template button to contain a simple button control and specify the javascript.
<asp:Button runat="server" onclick="return confirm('Do you want to delete?');">

I am working on a product that has ~ 30 web pages. Each page has
various number of controls ( between 20 - 40 controls that include
gridview, text boxes, combo boxes etc). This product should have
ability to connect to different type of data sources ( Oracle, SQL
Server, mySQL etc). I am using ObjectDataSource to populate controls
on these pages. I am trying to minimize back and forth communication
between the pages and backend database. I have createad stored
procedure that will gather all the data required on each page (meaning
one stored procedure per web page that give data needed by all
controls on a given web page). I am wondering what is the best way of
displaying this data by splitting rows return from stored procedure in
the ObjectDataSource. Any links, code examples or hints will be higly
appreciated.
TIA

Your problem is that the ObjectDataSource is the aborted whoreson of satan. You really shouldn't use it - in any way at all. It just binds your datasource to the UI and that's bad news - you're just asking for trouble with scalability. Instead, consider separating your UI from the business layer and the data layer. This way you can have much more control over how the data is retrieved, how you page it, and so on.

hi,
I'm using .NET 2.0 C# and the question I'm gonna ask might seem a bit awkward but anyway here it goes...
well I've just made a function to send emails and its working fine but the problem is that I can't seem to find how I can pass the sender's Name with the email so what's happening is that its showing the email ID without the @hotmail.com part in the sender's name
Can anyone plz help me with that.
Thanks
Rocky

I did it like this with the MailAddress object msg
MailAddress fromEmail = new MailAddress(from,SenderName);
MailAddress toEmail = new MailAddress(to);
System.Net.Mail.MailMessage msg = new System.Net.Mail.MailMessage(fromEmail,toEmail);

Hi all,
I need to set a date filed textbox culture to x culture where x is any culture taking into consideration that i have put in globalization in web.config the culture "en-GB"
any help
|
|
|
|
|
add sysglobl.dll as reference and use CultureRegionandInfo Builder Class
to build custome culture and region that is derived from "en-GB"
<br />
CultureInfo USCulture = new CultureInfo("en-GB");<br />
RegionInfo USRegion = new RegionInfo("GB");<br />
CultureAndRegionInfoBuilder DemoBuilder =<br />
new CultureAndRegionInfoBuilder("en-CUSTOME",<br />
CultureAndRegionModifiers.None);<br />
DemoBuilder.LoadDataFromCultureInfo(USCulture);<br />
DemoBuilder.LoadDataFromRegionInfo(USRegion);<br />
you can set date for the same !!!!
|
|
|
|
|
You can use any culture you want when converting the date to a string:
CultureInto culture = new CultureInfo("sv-FI")
someTextBox.Text = someDate.ToString(culture)
Experience is the sum of all the mistakes you have done.

Hi all,
I have a case where i need to use the same page with the same controls twice where the only difference is the datasource of the gridview. First time i need to read from a live table with primary key ID and second time from Temp table with primary key TempId. All other fields are the same.
What i need is to load once the data from the live table and once from Temp according to a flag iam passing. I need to set the DataKeyNames one time to ID and one time to TempId.
How is that possible to do in code cause if i put both ids in aspx page it is generating an error since only one id exists from the procedure iam getting.
|
|
|
|
|
by using this it works
GridView1.DataKeyNames = new string[] { "TempId" };
