Did you try missing out .ConnectionString property? Try this:
Myconn.ConnectionString =ConfigurationSettings.AppSettings["LocalOledbServer"];
Also, it is customary to have the connectionstring passed as an argument to OleDbConnection() .

For horizontal centering you need to set the style "text-align:center;" on the outer DIV and then "margin-left:auto;margin-right:auto;" on the inner DIV. This should work for all elements in Firefox as well as Internet Explorer.

You are right...
You can also centralize as follow:
margin: 0 auto;
Cheers!

hi all --
I'd like to have a real time visualization of all the visitors on my
website. That is, a list of all the people currently on each page,
updated in real time.
Does anyone have an approach they could share? I'm curious what
technologies people find useful for this kind of thing.
Also, if you don't mind, if you were to code something like this, how
many hours do you think it would take?
Regards

hey Johnny, thanks for the pointer. This is the type of stuff I'm interested in, but crazyegg is commercial and likely uses proprietary technology. I'm more interested if anyone knows a good way to implement this type of thing without spending a lot of money, or time.

Dear all,
i'm looking for a hosting provider and there is a huge number but i'm confused picking up one. I visited the hosting reviews for some of the hosting providers and there is a contradiction between opinions, you see a go for it somewhere and on another site some1 says no way for it!
I guess that my friends here in codeproject can help me because we are the developers and we have tried much.
So is there any recommended hostng provider for ASP.net 2.0 and SQL server 2005?
I would really appreciate quick response because I just wanna be out of this mess...
Best Regards

No.
But a quick and good set of users that signup feel it is a good low cost web hosting.

hi,
I'm workin on a web form in asp .net 2.0 and I wrote a little bit of JS in it. at first I checked it on FireFox and it was working fine but once I shifted to IE 7 (THE MASTER PIECE OF Microsoft!) it started giving errors. I've made lots of changes to chk whats going on but to no avail, now I'm offering u the code. plz have a look at it and do tell me if u have some sort of solution
this code is in a GridView's templatefield
]]>'>
Select an Option
Send to Mobile
Email it
Map it
]]>",<%#Eval("id") %>)' />
That's the JS function
function CheckMoreOptions(vid,var2)
{
var ddl = document.getElementById(vid.toString());
if(ddl.value == "Email it")
{
window.open("SendEmail.aspx?id="+var2.toString(),"411BusCar.com","status=0,toolbar=0,location=0, menubar=0, resizable=0, width=400, height=600");
}
else if (ddl.value == "Send to Mobile")
{
window.open("SendSMS.aspx?id="+var2.toString(),"411BusCar.com","status=0,toolbar=0,location=0, menubar=0, resizable=0, width=250, height=320");
}
else
{
}
}

Doesn't the browser already report that progress to the user in the form of a progress bar?

I don't understand. If the browser reports progress why won't the user know when it's finished uploading the file?

yes, that's the definition of a progress bar. When it stops it is complete.
MayyMagdy wrote: with completion percentage
Where are you going to get the percentage information from?

You ask a question about how to create a progress bar before you know how to get the information to put in the progress bar?
MayyMagdy wrote: there is a for loop with command that does a time intensive operation, there's a way to calculate this but i'm not sure of it because i didn't write that, i'll just use it.
I'm not saying this just to be rude but you have no idea what you are doing. I can't help you any further.

Web-based progress bars and 'simple' are not words that usually appear together. The reason that almost no websites have a progress bar is because they are very difficult to do, require special features (activex,flash) or work differently in so many different browsers that it's not worth considering.
