I want to develop asp.net application which contains menu but menu items should be generated from database. My intension is that Administrator can change menu items by working only on database, no need to change front end any how.
For example: Web page contains Menu as
1. Home
2. About Us
3. Contact Us
So if Administrator wants can change About Us menu to Our Clients menu, so administrator only need to modify in database don't touch front end any how.
Any small help also appreciated.

I would have thought that you just do the following:
create a table i.e. table_menu
Insert all your menu items i.e. home, contact us etc
Then in your backend code create a select statement which selects all fields from that table and loop it until all fields are displayed.
Then whenever the user updates the field in the database it changes straight away in the website
you could even build a front end app for them to edit the database through a simple form

Hi,
I was using this code in asp.net 2003 and it was working fine..
I am using vb script.
<asp:textbox onkeypress="OnlyNumber('txtConfirmACnumber')" id="txtConfirmACnumber" oncopy="return false" runat="server">

But this code does not work properly in asp.net 2.0, This showing "window" is not a member.
Can anyone tell me is onkeypress not supported in asp.net 2.0????

use the following codes in server side, remove onkeypress attribute in the client side code.
txtConfirmACnumber.Attributes.Add("onkeypress","OnlyNumber(this.value)")

its gives me the error "Access to the path is denied". Please Help me

can you please make sure that ASPNET user account have appropriate access rights to the file?

By default the asp.net application will work under aspnet user rights.
aspnet user don't have rights to create files in the hard drive.
if you want to write files in the server, you can go one of follwing way.
1. share the path, give the rights to every one. write the file in this shared folder.
2. give the admin rights to the asp.net (it's worst case, nobody accept).
3. User impersonation. - search asp.net impersonation for more info.

I am dilip, you can remove element from array you need to check whether element consists of null then you need to shift up array.

i am getting a run time error when i am trying to access the function defined in the webservice(WFC) from the client(i.e webform).
COULD NOT FIND DEFAULT ENDPOINT ELEMENT THAT REFERENCES CONTRACT 'CITIZENSERVICE.ICITIZENSERVICE' IN THE SERVICEMODEL CLIENT CONFIGURATION SECTION. THIS MIGHT BE BECAUSE NO CONFIGURATION FILE WAS FOUND FOR YOUR APPLICATION, OR BECAUSE NO ENDPOINT ELEMENT MATCHING THIS CONTRACT COULD BE FOUND IN THE CLIENT ELEMENT.
Web service Name : CITIZENSERVICE
Interface Name : ICITIZENSERVICE

i m using gridview to show the user and a child gridview to show the user details in the parent gridview cell..
my parent grid has two columns and child grid opens in the first cell.
now i want to show this grid in both cells..
the way to do this is merging the two cells.
but, how can i do this...

Hi I am new to Asp.net....
I am converting a htm files in to aspx files for localization issues.
I have a table with width=100% and height = 100%.
when I open the html page inside a fixed frame window. The table is not filling the whole window.
I want the last <tr> of the table to be on the bottom frame of the window. The below is the piece of my table.
At present the last <tr> of the main table is displayed above the window size. I want the empty space between the tr and the window size to be removed....
any help is highly appreciated....
