Hi,
Is there any possibility to change, programmatically, language for OpenFileDialog? I tried to change Culture, but this didn't affect OpenFileDialog Form. Thanks in advance.

Maybe through control panel?

I tried that way, too. Unfortunately, I think the language displayed in this dialog is based on the Windows installed language. So probably I need to install language pack or write my own control.
Thanks for answer

hi to all!
I wants to block and ip address to not receive or send data to that system. If any one has some code that can block the network traffic by simpley entering ip address and clik on button.
thanks to all!

There should be a setting in your firewall.
Blocking IP addresses is not the job of a C# application,
it really should be done on the router or in the desktop firewall.

Tahir,
It is certainly of no help, by posting same question again & again.

Everybody like to make it easy for the user, but for that developers pay heavily in the form of effort, energy, time they spent to make it easy for the user.
The idea is as follows:
- Have an application running in the background.
- In that application put some logic of monitoring communication, in other words, keep an eye on ips connecting with the machine.
- Whenever it happens, check if that ip is "simply entered", if they are same, terminate the connection.
Secondly, maybe there is something to play with programming windows firewall exception list.
Have a good time, paying heavily in putting effort, energy and time for simple entry and simple blocking of an ip!!!!

I was thinking I saw this same post yesterday. I'll just ignore it

Yes he did. Did you not see this..
The idea is as follows:
?
- Have an application running in the background.
- In that application put some logic of monitoring communication, in other words, keep an eye on ips connecting with the machine.
- Whenever it happens, check if that ip is "simply entered", if they are same, terminate the connection. "
Oh, I bet you did. But you are incapable of doing the work to implement that. You probably want code, and I bet it's urgent.
I'm going to become rich when I create a device that allows me to punch people in the face over the internet.

You are right, I don't know. But, you know what? If I was trying to do it, it would get done. I would do it myself, without posting the same question over and over. I would do the necessary research on how to get it done. That's the difference between a real developer and some lazy ass like yourself.

What? Is that a question? If so, what?

It is a malformed question. Too many ? in the statement, the Plain English compiler should just crap out right there on the spot

Not the PE compiler. Has Negus returned? Did I miss this?

To my knowledge, no.

Speaking of which, did you actually ever try it? I didn't and I'll prefer to stick to C-style languages like C/C++/C#, and ummm, yes, Java ( doing a little development on my blackberry with it from time to time - nothing super exciting ).

I did. If it hadn't been so unwindows, I might have actualy been tempted - well, that and the fact that it didn't actually allow you to natively interact with anything useful such as a database.

That is the impression I got from the demo and it just didn't suit me at all.

Apparently Negus is supposed to be working on a .NET version of PE. That should be interesting.

Where did you see that?
Pete O'Hanlon wrote: That should be interesting.
Yes, as long as he stays within the bounds of the .NET Framework...

With an error message on a beautiful blue screen we all hate....
"Fatal Error Occured at Memory 0x000000 - Re-Install your english compiler and try to do some work rather than wasting time in fighting. The amount of time you wasted could have been enough for making your very own firewall.
The causes of this error may include weird question you dont know yourself, or you might be asking for code not for idea by not asking for code.
Memory Dump: 100% Un-reachable"

My humble request, why dont you place your problem infront of your teachers and ask for better ideas (not for code!!), they are also paid for this, not like us who solely try to solve problem for our very own self-satisfaction - i.e. if you are really interested in learning and making progress! Otherwise, keep on fighting bu to no avail!
Have a great time!

Hi,
I am trying to create a custom workflow using Visual Studio 2005 for SharePoint Services 3.0.
I've installed the VS 2005 extensions for SharePoint and for WorkFlow Foundation. When I try to create a new project, I'm getting the error:
" The designer could not be shown for this file because none of the classes within it can be designed."
Initially it showed that the dll "microsoft.sharepoint.WorkflowActions" could not be found. So I copied this dll form Server where WSS 3.0 is installed and put in "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\ISAPI" in my PC and added the reference. Still the designer error persists.
Could someone please assist me with this issue?
Regards,
Blumen

If you're doing this on your local LAN you should check the settings of any routers or other network devices between the server and client, since broadcast messages are sometimes filtered out. If your application is intended for the internet broadcasting is not an approach that will work, as you can read here[^].
Standards are great! Everybody should have one!
