Quite a lot, indeed.
What about a good C programming language book or tutorial?

Maybe he should turn to do some HTML or ASP, as what he says in his profile.

Whatever fancy language he uses, he definitely needs a good C tutorial (every man needs to feel the thrill of the real thing, sooner or later... ).

Hi,
I'm working in MFC and have a problem with files that are used by my app. At opening time my app open some files and set's the readonly property to them. Everything works just fine if the app doesn't crash. If the app crashes the files remain readonly. My question is... in what wya can I catch some kind of messages or something when my app crashes and then reset tfe file attributes to previous state?
Thanks

You don't worry about your application crashes, do you?

Why don't you fix the crash instead ??

My opinion is that you should rather be worried about *why* your application is crashing and how to prevent it, than worrying about the file attributes.

The application crash was by design.

What do you mean by "debug only one function" ?
You can set a breakpoint into this function and step line per line with the F10-Key

|
|
|
|
F9

Are you actually reading the replies you get?

Keep the cursor in the line of code where you want the execution to stop and then press F9. This will set a breakpoint. Alternatively, you could use DebugBreak(); or use __asm int 3;
Example:
MyFunction(int iVal)
{
i = i+1;
__asm int 3;
}

Ever heard of a 'break point'?

I think is quite clear what he means:
Debug (compile and run) only one function without having to build+run the whole app; may be passing it some arguments using some kind of dialog.
Im googling the same subject.
I think that a good solution would be to call that function just at the beginning of your app and use a breakpoint as they say.
Reegards.

Since my CPMRU (Code Project Mind Reader Unit) is out of order, could you please post the relevant code?
