Do you experience any problem with your application ? Is it so painfully slow that you need to look at each msec that you can gain ?
Otherwise, I'll cite a famous quote from Donald Knuth:
Early optimization is the root of all evil.
With which, on this specific case, I absolutely agree. You'll probably end up doing things much worse (making the code more difficult to maintain, full of bugs, ...) just to gain something totally neglectable.

The answer is NO.
The arrangement of lines of code in your MFC MESSAGE_MAP has no effect on the compilers output.

I am currently generating a BMP file by capturing screenshot of the current active window. Any ideas how to convert it to JPG format in order to make its size small. We are Ok with some loss occuring in image quality after the conversion.

You may use GDI+ Image class to save it as JPEG file [^].

I'm sure I'm going to regret answering you, but you might get help from the Mobile forum, rather than here.
I would imagine there is an API in Windows Mobile to get that information - but it could be quite hard. After all, which signal strength? GPRS, CDMA, GSM, GPS, Wifi, Bluetooth? And that's just the ones I can think of.

Hi all,
i am working on password encryption in my VC++ application.When i try to create a key container, the function CryptAcquireContext() fails with NTE_BAD_KEYSET( 0x80090016L ). and the subsequent call fails with NTE_EXISTS( 0x8009000FL ),(i could not reproduce it consistently). Is this occurs because of the key container access rights.? i could not figure out which are all the users are not accessable to a particular container..!(i m using default key container as i kept second parameter of the CryptAcquireContext() to NULL). i understand that this access rights may related to the user who creates the container, then too i m in confusion coz i could not reproduce the problem if i experiment this as explined in msdn. i think my understanding about the access on key container is not exact. can some one help me out regarding this issue..!! here the code snippet where i got the error messages.

Try using a named container. I was facing a similar issue as yours and this did fix my issue.

yes cagespear, its working with a unique container name..!! but i want to use default container...! any guess about why its not working with NULL value..?i jus want to know the reason why its not working..?

The apps should not use the default key container, as this might be incompatible with other application using the same key container name. It's best to use a key container name which is unique to your application.

Most likely your CPU is faulty. There are some CPUs from both Intel and AMD which are known to be counting wrong.
