I know what the error is but what I want is to see the filenames and line numbers on compile.

on this control i need only doc and excel files to be seen. that is other files are filtered out.

just take a file uploader control and give the if condition that if the fileuploader.postedfile.extension=".doc" andalso fileuploader.postedfile.extension="xls" then
'ur code
else
invalid type
end if

I just answered this, didn't I ?

The ASP.NET control is going to render an input type="file", so any attributes that work for that control, will work in the .NET one, they just get passed through.

As CG told you can't add filter to the file upload control. You can check the file extension and content type before you save the file to the server. Is this enough for you ?

Hi
I m new biew to asp.net.
I wanna use Adrotator in my page which shows the images from database
(Means the url of image is stored in database and images is saved in a folder)

For it i simply retrived all image url in dataset and bind it to the adrotator but it not worked properly

Show me the currect way to do it Plz

What does 'not worked properly' mean ? How about showing us your code and telling us what happened, so we can work out what your error is ?

My code is:

It shows dynamic alternatetext each time when i refresh the page but don't show image

What form do your image paths take ? Are they rooted at your application root, or do they look like c:\inetpub\images\... ? I'd guess that's your issue.

The Image folder is placed in root folder where all the web page is placed

and the image url is like this : -
~/Add_Image/middle.gif

oh hello
i am trying to insert a record to a table... the executenonquery gives the error that an open connection is rqd... when i replace the same comand with a selectcommand and the method to executereader it works but when its with executenonquery, it doesnt work

wat does msoffice need to do with it.. I am reading from a table using a stored procedure, and executereader command, it works fine. i use a storedprocedure for insert and executenonquery and it throws the exception

hello..
i am developing an application in asp.net using c# and am getting an error in the command.executenonquery method which throws an exception that the executenonquery requires an open and active connection though just above the call to executenonquery method i have opened the connection as connection.open where connection is a property that gets the connection which has been made from configurationmanager.connectionstring... I know there is no problem with connectionstring coz i have tried executereader and it works fine... To my knowledge the error has something to do vith serverversion... coz when i run the executereader and check the connection object over there, the connection state is open but when i run the nonquery then the connection object shows in its serverversion the follwing string
"ServerVersion = 'command.Connection.ServerVersion' threw an exception of type 'System.InvalidOperationException'"
Plz note that state of connection is closed even after i call the connection.open method...

Plz provide help
