edit oops. I don't know if there is a preInit. But you can put code before the base.OnIinit(e) method.

Master Page don't have Pre Init Event
Might be you can't access access Master Page in this event as it might not have been initialize Master page gets initialize on init (inner to outer )First Child controls gets initialzed and then Page gets initialized
Could you tell me what you have to do ?

Sure! I would like to allow user to change the application theme on my master page (by using dropdownlist for example). And then to apply the selected theme to every page being shown.

Ya you can do that in Pre init event by getting value of dropdownlist from request object and set the theme in preinit page

Hello Friends,

Can anybody let me know how to do Edit,Update and Insert in DetailsView programatically. I've done Edit in GridView by using the following code

protected void GridView2_RowEditing(object sender, GridViewEditEventArgs e)
{
GridView2.EditIndex = e.NewEditIndex;
bindDataGrid();
}

but EditIndex is not supported in DetailsView

How can i produce a thumbnail during the mouseover (or) Hover Property is onvoked.
I am using .Net2.0 and there is no onMouseOver property. It has Hover property but i am not able to set the thumbnail. It is only possible to set the color and font of the Hover property.

Can Somebody please Help me to find out my Solution.
I would be very greatful to u.

Hello

I have application whose application level variables need to be reset. This can be done by resetting the IIS. But the problem is that the server is having other applications also. this will reset for all the applications

I want to know is there any way i can reset for a particular website hosted with IIS.

I am not very sure but try ur declaration part in the Global.asax file where it contains Application_Start event. Here u can empty or Dispose all the variables and again declare.

Let me know it is working or not.

The problem is that i cant make changes to the code as the client has already hosted the application. its thru something like this i have to do it. something like iisreset. but this should be for a particular application.

There is no built in dialog box in asp.net like desktop application either u have to develop it or u can use javascript

Thare is no built in DialogBox in Asp.net such as Windows form. To display DialoBox you should use JavaScript function as follows.

Hi,
I am developing one portal in that I am using richtext box to format the text. I did it. And I am saved it as HTML Encode using System.Microsoft.Application.AntiXss library Dll. I working fine. But when I am retriving it from the database and display on the page in side it is dispaling like

Hi,
I have the following code

Ds=new DataSet();
Ds.ReadXml(Request.PhysicalApplicationPath + "Test.xml");
GridView1.DataSource = oDs;
GridView1.DataBind();

This is the code on the click of a button
I have checked from breakpoint that values from xml to dataset getting correctly and there is no error in the page,
but gridview does not show any data.
So can anyone tell me why gridview does not show any data.
