No, because the user is always given an option to not close the page.

Yes, when you create a popup, you can get a reference to it in javascript, which you can use to refresh it, I believe. I don't really know how, off hand, but I do believe it can be done. Have you tried google.

why u need wondow.close() function.
Best Regards,
Chetan Patel
|
|

U access the parent window using opener property.
for an example If a window creates a popup window then it will be the opener window for the popup.
So inside popup u can access the parent window as
winodw.opener
|
|
|
|
|
you can close the window without an alert.
just use this
<script language=javascript>
function closeornot(){
window.close(opener=0);return true;
}
</script>
put this where you want to call the function
onclick="return closeornot();"
this should work as expected.

Please dont ask again, people can still see your other thread, and are trying to help you there.
Realistically, if you're working on any ASP.NET code, you should probably stop, you should buy a book for beginners and work through it.
You're wrong, session state, cookies and storing values on the URL are three different things.

Hello All,
I want to change the background colour of button, when user hover the mouse on it. I didnt find any such event in ASP.Net or in Code behind.
I tested Java Script function as well, it recognize the onmouseover event and i am calling function there. But what would be the exact statement to change the colour.
Anyone having idea or something ready.
yours reply would be highly appreciated.
Thanks.

You can do this with CSS, that's probably best.

Use CSS instead of Javascript as CG said.
SSK.

onmouseover = "this.style.backgroundColor = 'red';"
remember to set it back to what it was else it will stay red

In ASP.NET in your datagrid component in your Cloumns you can state ReadOnly="true" for the field you do not want to be edited.
