I have a better idea:
Whenever someone post new message the system should redirect user to a google search with message text or message title. Then allow the user to post message only after 15 minutes.

Well, googling their subject "hi", "urgunt doubt" or "plz heelp" won't help them much...

ah... 15 mins aren't sufficient, 30 mins would be better

I often post responses that are a link to the header as a google search.

hello friends,
i have some values displayed in a comboBox. the selected value is stored in a variable. now the logic is this that when a button is pressed, the saved value of the combo Box is to be displayed in the combo Box. how do i accomplish this?
i have tried adding the value through the 'Items' property. it adds the value into the combolist but doesn't display it directly. i've also tried the comboBox.SelectedValue property but it still doesn't work.
<br />
private void back_button_Click(object sender, System.EventArgs e)<br />
{<br />
comboBox1.SelectedValue = field_entries_array[x,3];<br />
<br />
}
reply soon plz.

why don't you use the text property for combobox
combobox1.text="hello"

ok the property worked partially. now the comboBox is displaying the value once. suppose we have three values stored in the array. a1,a2 and a3. the above mentioned property displays the value stored in a3 but after pressing the back button again, it still displays the value of a3. it should display the value of a2 and then if the button is pressed again then a1.
|
|
|
|
|
For that do change in value like
When you click on the back button use
Combobox1.Text=a2
then a1

hello,
is there any way in DataTable by which i can Select non-blank columns only
for example
DataTable
-------------------------------
|ID|Name|COL1|COL2|.....COL(n)|
-------------------------------
|13|kkkk| | ss |.....COL(n)|
|13|kkkk| | ss |.....COL(n)|
DataRow[] dr = DT.Select("ID=13");
this will return with all columns, but i want it should ignore COL1
i cannot put all columns name in filter as they are in unknown quantity
how can i do this?

Ok so... i got a program that may or may not close/crash unexpectedly, and i want it to spawn another form so that when the parent program does die, that the sibling form is still alive. I also intend to send various data objects to this form, so a solution must be flexible to allow for this.
the goal is an exception reporter that can survive even the most extreme crashes of the program it's trying to report about.
Basically my code is done except for how to handle this case :P

You could create thje multiple projects into a single solution
exam: -
Make three solution sol1,sol2,sol3 where sol1 is the startup object and we have to give the reference for sol2 and sol3 into the sol1 so now sol1 is the main solution or Application running always and will able to call any subproject
so call the sol2 and then call the sol3 from sol2 now i this case you would able to pass the values also from one project to another and if one soluiton say sol2 is closed then now problem the project will work fine because main application is still working and you could do your work with sol3.
finally if you don't want to display the main project or application instance then you could hide the form for main solution sol1 in our case it will work as backgroud process.
Hope this will solve your problem

The projects become sepate assemblies, but it's still a single application.
You have to create separate applications to run them as separate processes.

Hi,
I would like to know what are some of the benefits of using C# vs C++ (MFC) specifically regarding GUI's. I've heard that it offers the ease of creating gui's that visual basic has offered developers for years, but I would like to know what specifically is more "easier" in C#? I've developed GUI's using MFC for many years, and at a first glance at C# GUI toolbox it looked pretty similar to what i've been used to and didn't find anything that is much different.
Any help and pointers from the experts out here would be greatly appericated.
Thanks

The language is suited to putting applications together quickly. Layout and dynamic adding of controls is easier than MFC (and I speak as an ex MFCer here). It's quicker to put together pattern and tier based solutions than C++ is, plus the event handling code is far easier to work with than the MFC Message Maps. Plus (and this is a big plus on my part), it's much easier to ignore Document View and actually work with patterns like Model View Controller (MVC).

|
The extension of WPF support for VB and C# allows for much better GUIs in those languages in my opinion.

Hello
I'm new to C# I'm looking for a good documented code to implement auto complete combobox
I've seen some code here but without any documentation, nor the way to use it
I've also hear about a notinlist event for ComboBox but that event is not available in csharp 2005 nor 2008

Have you actually tried yourself and experimented? It really is very easy - you won't find a great deal of documentation anywhere as the code is almost 'self commenting'.
Just have a go and post back with specifics if you get stuck

Hello
I've added the source provided to my project
It compiles
But I do'nt know how to set a new combobox into my form nor from the designer nor from programming
And till now I never had add a object by code, I always use the designer
I'm leaning C# since a few weeks now I can already do many things but many things remain obscure
Another example of good documented code :
I've found dgvprinter here it is wonderfull !
The authors gives all the information about using the code and it was very easy to implement, understand and use, but it was a portion of code I'm much familiar with code library than component library
