You can add a reference from the new project to this assembly. If this assembly is used by many projects, consider deploying it to GAC.

Hi,
I'm looking for a smart way to have a databound dropdownlist to display a greyed text that says somthing like...."select here". After the user has made his first selection the text should go away and not be in the list again.
Any ideas how I can accomplish this?

javascript is really the only way to do this. Not sure how easy it is to make it grey, but I'm sure it's doable.

Remove it with javascript.

Is there any samples? I havnt found any.

try and find the value in the dropdown list or by finding a value which has select in, then you can make this invisible

So, call a variation on this code when the drop list is opened, but have it look for the item you want to remove the first time and remove it only if it's there.

I would say at a guess that whatever the process is, it doesn't involve ASP.NET.
They have a merchant login, that seems a good place to start.

I have used c#, vs2005 . I have created a pop up calender using javascript in asp.net but couldnot pass selected date into parent form. plz help me how can i achive this

It's hard to know exactly what you're asking. If you want to pass the data back to codebehind, put an asp control on your form, a hidden control is best, and use javascript to write the value selected in the date picker into that control, so you can get it from the code behind.

How to draw a transparent rectangle on an image ? By dragging mouse on the image rectangle should be drawn.
Is there any javascript for this.??
|
|
|
|
|
I assume the way to do this would be to create a transparent div and to size it with the mouse.

Hi,
I am planning to develop a commercial web application on document management system by using ASP.NET and have following questions,
1. In J2EE, there are the J2EE server such as BEA server, and
in .NET what is the corresponding technology for web application server ?
Is that just develop .NET code and run on Microsoft Window Server ?
2. How does most commercial company deploy their web applications for their clients ? Just let their clients install and setup all stuff or the company install web apps for their clients directly ?
3. Is there possible to group all asp stuff in a .exe so that it run and deploy all stuff on the server for the customers ?
Thanks
