how do you wana add the notes? are they displayed fields from a database
you could just put a loop in the page load and set the max to 4 and then put
node.ChildNodes.Add(NewNode);
something along the lines of this

Hi guys. I wonder if anyone can help me. I have an idea for my final year graduate project in asp.net.
I want to use a map of South Africa and allow a user to select a road(on the map via point and click) they are going to travel on and save it to a database. I have no clue how to even start this project. Please can someone help me with this.
It would be much appreciated
Thanks

Maybe something like google maps could be a start, you could inject some code in there trying to pinpoint where the user clicks their mouse using javascript, you can put google map on your webpage, some companies do it to show their location
have a look at this:
http://code.google.com/apis/maps/

the code is as follows:

New Page 1

<%
response.write("Messages : " & Application("rGeneralMessages") & "

")
response.write("Time Stamp : " & Application("rGeneralLastTimeStamp") & "

")
response.write("Last Cleaned : " & Application("rGeneralLastCleaned") & "

")
response.write("User Activity : " & Application("rGeneralUserActivity") & "

")
response.write("Users : " & Application("rGeneralUsers") & "

")

%>

and the error is as follows
Error 1 d:\ksa\Ver9.0\variables.aspx(12): error CS1002: ; expected

You are trying to use VB.NET code in a C# page.
Despite everything, the person most likely to be fooling you next is yourself.

Wow. Yet another advertisement for why it generally sucks to outsource to India.
Apart from what other people have said, what you're doing is generally a terrible idea. Why would you use response.write in the aspx instead of using a label and setting it via a method in the code behind ? I think you need to buy a very basic ASP.NET book and read it, and pray that your manager never reads these forums.

The problem is, you're using multiple response.write calls when you only need one. Consider using something like:
<% response.write("

New Page 1

Messages : " + Application("rGeneralMessages") + " Time Stamp : " + Application("rGeneralLastTimeStamp") + " Last Cleaned : " + Application("rGeneralLastCleaned") + "User Activity : " + Application("rGeneralUserActivity") + " Users : " + Application("rGeneralUsers") + "

") %>

i have a case where i need to add 2 attributes to the same drop down list at the same time.
ddlEvent.Attributes.Add("onchange", "ShowHideTables()")
ddlEvent.Attributes.Add("onchange", "needToConfirm=true")
what happens is that only the second javascript is executed while i need to execute both. any Ideas
|
|
|
|
|
put these lines of code in a loop
|
|
|
|
|
Didnt work
|
|
|
|
|
you will have to do something like this then:
ddlEvent.Attributes.Add("onchange", "ShowHideTables()";"onchange", "needToConfirm=true" )
or play around with the synbtax might be a variation of this
|
|
|
|
|
Wow, this is very wrong.

Wow.
ddlEvent.Attributes.Add("onchange", "ShowHideTables(); needToConfirm=true;")

Hi,
I converted a large (30.000 lines) localization XML file into separate RESX files. One file per module and per language. This resulted in 320 files! (I followed a globalization tutorial on this site, to change our existing language system.) (strings of 10-12 languages, 15-20 program modules)
Anyone has experiences with this amount of data? Will this work ok? Compile time, load speed when deployed, etc? (Before I change the 5.000 references in the program. )
Many thanks,
Ferenc
