Hi,
I have a weird problem I've been trying to solve for a couple of hours now. I have a user control that works fine, the only problem is that if I add that control to my page in visual studio the control will not be declared in the designer.cs file. I don't get any error messages or anything. If I add code manually to declare the control it will work, but that is not how you want to work.
Any suggestions?
I have looked over the markup in the control as well as the page and I can't find anything that seems wrong.

Find the problem myself. I had a gridview control in my user control. For the gridview control I had specified a RowCommand eventhandler as well as PageIndexChanging eventhandler. If a RowCommand eventhandler is specified it seems like that one will override PageIndexChanging, and for that reason it will seem like two eventhandlers are declared for one event, and that will cause Visual Studio to miss behave.

Hi,
I have created a local report in asp.net 2. What are my different options available to accomplish the client to be able to print this report on the client printer. If I use pdf format I get the report in portrait layout. (Is it possible to make it open a landscape pdf?) If I use javascript:window.print(); it adds blank spaces and remove the lines in the details rows. Are those my only options? Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanx

Following is some part of my code..

Of course it is. Let me just put my life on hold for a moment.
Resource files just contain strings. You can do whatever you like with them. You can also use XML or any other format you like to store the different languages, and display them.

Quite simply, how you store and retrieve the strings is entirely up to you. Indeed, you could put Engish strings in your resource file, and German ones and put a suffix of DE on the German names, or whatever you like to do.

So it would seem. The real question is, if you're so new, why do you have this sort of assignment ?
I don't know how to make it clearer. A unicode string can have any character in it. There is no magic by which a file can only store strings in one language. you can store these strings any way you like. But, the core problem sounds like you've taken a job that you're not ready for. You should buy a book, and read it, and work up to the point of being able to take this sort of assignment.

Hi all,
I wan`t to display the server time to be displayed in one corner of my page. For that purpose i av got a script that was originally built for PHP. I made some changes , but it doesn`t work....
here is my code...
<br />
<br />
var currenttime ="<%=DateTime.Now%>"<br />
var montharray=new Array("January","February","March","April","May","June","July","August","September","October","November","December")<br />
var serverdate=new Date(currenttime);<br />
<br />
function padlength(what){<br />
var output=(what.toString().length==1)? "0"+what : what<br />
return output<br />
}<br />
<br />
function displaytime(){<br />
serverdate.setSeconds(serverdate.getSeconds()+1)<br />
var datestring=montharray[serverdate.getMonth()]+" "+padlength(serverdate.getDate())+", "+serverdate.getFullYear()<br />
var timestring=padlength(serverdate.getHours())+":"+padlength(serverdate.getMinutes())+":"+padlength(serverdate.getSeconds())<br />
document.getElementById("servertime").innerHTML=datestring+" "+timestring<br />
}<br />
<br />
window.onload=function(){<br />
setInterval("displaytime()", 1000)<br />
}<br />
does any body have some suggestions or atleast a working code....!!!!!!
When you fail to plan, you are planning to fail.
