the application directory is the directory in the file system that contains your exe, and presumably your mdb

Hi,
I would like to add a button column on each row in datagrid.
How should i do it? I searched the forum from google.
The codes look like this: -
' Set datagrid XP Style Button ColumnStyle for City field

There is no "datagridbuttoncolum" for me to add.
It's not allow for me to do so. How should i do?

Are you using the DataGrid (.NET 1.0 and 1.1) or the DataGridView (.NET 2.0 and above)??
Google results for "add button to datagridview[^]".

Now my friend, the first thing you should start buying a book in vb.net ,or Download some E-books. and try to Google. they already gave you an answer, but as a Beginner , you might be wonderig what does he means about the text he just sent you, he just mean look for those namespaces and start googling and look for answers your self, Good Programmers try to make a research before start asking people how somethings are done

A webapplication(ASP.NET) is having a very short lifetime on the server. And it is initiated by a request. I mean it's can't run in the background and check folder periodically. What you are supposed to do when the folder changes ? You may try windows services.

From what I gather when a new excel file is found, it's data must be transfered to a SQL server database. I am more accustomed to windows applications but the company seem to do most of their programs as web pages though they only run a few across the web (if that makes sense), the rest are locally ran.

Windows service is the best way to go. Write a windows service which use FileWatcher component and looks for the new file. This service shall open it and send data's to SQL server database. You need to install this windows service on the server where your web application is running.

Hello!
I am using VB2005.
I have a Form and have two buttons on it: 1) PRINT. 2) PRINT PREVIEW.
I have also dropped two controls on form: 1) PrintDocument. 2) PrintPreviewDialog.
Code Behind PRINT button is:
PrintDocument1.Print()
Code Behind PRINT PREVIEW button is:
PrintPreviewDialog1.Document = PrintDocument1<br />
PrintPreviewDialog1.ShowDialog()
When i click 'print' button it sends print to printer which is all OK.
But when i click 'Print Preview' i can see only a dot inside previw area.
However when i click Print button inside Print Preview control it prints fine.
Can't resolve problem!

I have tested my code on other machine it worked fine.
Problem was: my Visual Studio dll files were corrupted and i was facing all these problems. Now i am repairing Visual Studio.

Actually 1st I added web reference from to project by clicking on add web reference tab there it ask username and password I given and it add 2 file to my project one with extinction .discomap and .wsdl to web reference section of my project
After that in .vb file I just import some class of web reference and in page load event I put the code

If userId > 0 Then<br />
Dim userData As UserWS = service.getUserWS(userId)<br />

As soon I run the page am getting the error 
is this is ok sir or you want full steeps what I done to add web reference?

Am not discouraging you from using Java, but now its not a Problem doing what you doing, the thing is that your web service is written in Java and you want to call it in .NET, why dont you write your web services in any .NET languages, its easy. lets see your java code and the lets see how you re using it in .NET, but remember this is not a Java Forum. i suggest you lern any .NET language if you dont know one , because its the Future. C# might be a Good Choce,

Web service is not re by it is the service of some external web site my client given me n he want to invoke that service in our site
That web service is just to generate some reports from which they want to generate their reports
The web service is added successfully not a problem in that but when I call any function from web service am getting error.

These are the steps followed to add reference
URL: http://billing.rephero.com/jboss-net/services/billing?wsdl prompts for “Axis basic authentication” the screen looks as below
Step 2: in Axis basic authentication dilog box i entered username and password and clicked ok after that it asks for some confirmation
Step 3: Confirmation message is “The server need to authenticate your credentials will be sent to the server in clear “text”
Step 4: After confirming yes am getting “discovery credentials” dialog box It accepts username password and domain name. If i give domain name reference is not getting added but without giving a domain name if clicked Ok then it adds reference successfully.
