Hi
I want to create a sql query which meet following criteria but i can't understand how can i write this. I tried a lot but did not successed.
My table structure is as follow.
ATA_Question.
Qid -- Catid -- Subcatid -- SortOrder -- Question --
1 1 1 1 question.
Suppose the table contain 30 question having catid=1 and sort number varies between 1 to 9. Now i want to show the first top 12 question which having catid=1 and sort order in ascending.
If Question 30 having sort order 1 and catid=1 then my query return top 12 question which having sort order in ascending. First it show question having sort order 1 then next sort order 2 and so on and return top 12 question.
How can i write the query for this. Please help me?
I have solved that one

SELECT TOP 12 *
FROM YoutTable
WHERE catid =1 ORDER BY SortOrder is this the one ?
BTW, this question should be on SQL server discussion board since it has nothing to do with ASP.NET.

I tried this.But the problem with this query is that if the qid no 30 having sort order 1 then it dosenot show this question in top 12.
This question having sort order 1 then is must show it in top 12 question.
First it show all question which having sort order 1 then 2 and so on up to 12 question having catid=1.
Ok i will post that in sql server discussion board.
I have solved that one

1 - do AJAX call to the server when window is closing. But it uses JS hence not reliable.
2 - You need to keep the last request time from the client on database. Run a scheduled job (sql server job) and update status of the employee if his last request time is more than your desired timeout limit.
Second method seems to be more reliable to me.

I have set session timeout to 30 minutes using the following code in web.config file.
<system.web>
<sessionstate timeout="30">
Still session is lasting for only 4 or 5 minutes in server. In localhost it is working properly. Can anyone tell the reason.
Thanks in advance.

This seems to be a common issue. When you do a search for this, you will get many solutions. Since it is working correctly on localhost, there might some settings missing on the server. Try with their support.

Most likely cause is, your file is not in that network location. What makes you think it would be ?
