led mike wrote: Ah I see, I was COMPLETELY WRONG because I asked if it was a Web Site Project when in fact it is an ASP.NET application
I thought you are giving the reference of some other web site project for which this type of query has already been asked, that's why I wrote those lines.
By the way, thanks for entertaining me with your funny replies and also for talking nothing about the problem I asked and distracting my mind for some time from the work load. It really helped alot.
I have got the solution and going back to my work. So no further replies from my side.

Perhaps you should conserve your energy by cutting down on your replies to me. You will probably need all the energy you can get to complete your project.

Id like to create a regex expression to add it to the createuserwizard
The problem is that im not very familiar with regex, ive been searching, but i cant find an example to do this
What id like is the user create a nick with the following restrictions:
Between 6 and 20 characters
Only letters and numbers and any of this signs (._-)
And only one space
Ive tried this regex:
^[\wÑñ._-]{6,20}$
How can i restrict the string to have no more than one space (No spaces would be ok)
Thanks in advance

This will do exactly what you want with no spaces ^\s{0}[\wÑñ._-]{6,20}$

Thanks for the reply

This RegEx does exactly what the regex that already have does
Besides .-_ and letters and numbers, I need to allow only one space (Optional)

\s{0} is completely superfluous. White space is already disallowed because it hasn't been included in the list of character classes contained between the square brackets.

The only way I can think to do this is to use a CustomValidator[^] control.
In your custom validation function, first use a regular expression to check that the string is between 6 & 20 characters and contains only letters, numbers, spaces or the (._-) symbols (BTW, the literal '.' character needs to be escaped in a regular expression as \. because '.' is a reserved regular expression character). If your input passes this validation, write some code to count the number of spaces it contains.

Thaks for the suggestion, someone at regexlib.com forums helped me with this
This does the job:
^(?!.* .* )[\w ñÑ.-]{6,20}$
Weird that . doesnt make the regex fail
But ill scape it on my page

Is this application running on a multi-core PC? Change your session from InProc to State Server or Sql Server.

Hi,
I am working on an asp.net 2.0 application where the error logs generated are filling up the disk space. In another application, I had solved this problem in asp.net 1.1, by running a nightly schedule task that compressed these logs, and moved them to another machine, thus preventing current machine from getting full.
Wondering if there is a better solution to this problem in 2.0, anything other tools out there that can provide a better way to handle this?
Thanks.

There's an article[^] here on CodeProject which shows how to do it with nested repeater controls. You should be able to modify this to use the ListView control instead.

Hi Everyone,
i am using LinkButton to redirect another page, i need to avoid the postback, i tried with UpdatePanel, but it's not working fine.
Please Help Me.

If I understand you correctly and you are simply looking to navigate to a new page when the user clicks the link, you may wish to consider using a standard HTML anchor instead of the LinkButton.
If you choose to still use the LinkButton, set its OnClientClick attribute to return false; . For example:
<asp:LinkButton ID = "myLink" runat = "server" OnClientClick = "return false;" Text = "Hello" />
Hope that helps.

If you need the server processing and do not need the page be posted back after processing, then at the server don't use Response.Redirect, instead use Server.Transfer, so when using this the page that will be sent back is the new page immediately.
