It has changed now, the VB.NET" part of the title is gone.
Thanks.

I've been playing around a bit with XNA recently, and it's quite entertaining/ How about a message board / article section for XNA?
At the moment I'm using http://creators.xna.com and www.ziggyware.com, but I prefer the CP interface / layout...
I have no blog...

Hi All/Chris,
I previously brought up this issue under conservatorship for missing authors. I wanted to toss this out (one last time) with an example.
Chew Keong Tan offers a BigInteger class for C#[^]. It is a quality CodeProject exemplary article. It was originally published in August, 2002. The last update by the author was September, 2002. However, the implementation has a couple of bugs. For example, getBytes()[^] needs a correction, which dudubravo provides[^].
In my particular case, I am working with Tan's class. If I publish an article based on his class, I cannot simply direct the reader to his work because I have modified his sources. So I must introduce his work, explain the corrections, and then get on with my primary intentions.
As it stands, there are two downloads available: demo and source (the source has a bug). Would it not be possible for the CodeProject to incorporate the corrections, and make the download available for others since it appears Chew is no longer maintaining the article?
This would add a third download. It could be noted as "Download Source - CodeProject Maintenance (Date of Maintenance)". In addition, the download should include a text file with the CodeProject bug fixes and the reason the source has been changed. I believe this is with in the spirit of the open sharing. In addition, with the orignal EULAs in place, it is allowed by the author.
No source code hijacking or article rewrites have occured - only a correction. Most articles are trivial and do not require this shepherding by the CodeProject. However, every now and again there is a special article which begs for consideration.

We already do this for articles. Just email in the addenda and Sean, Deeksha or Smitha will look after you.
In the future, though, we will be looking to make this a ton easier. It's clearly a problem that needs to be addressed.

Question/Problem
I am receiving the CP news letter, but I do not seem to receive Emails that are being sent to me via CP members (Nish and/or Rama tried to Email me for that lunch thing, but I never received them). I have checked my settings, and they are correct. So I've contacted my IT department, and they want an "example" Email address from where the Emails are coming, in an attempt to track down said problem.
So ... when someone clicks on the Email link, and sends an Email, what's the sender's Email address?
Thanks.

The email address is Forums@codeproject.com

My IT group claims that ProofPoint is not showing anything being blocked from the CodeProject domain.
I have checked that the Email address I have configured here on CP is correct, and if I cut & paste it into an EMail client and send an Email I get that message; however, if I click the EMail link, and send something, I do not ...
Is this because my corporate Email address has a '.' in it? This used to work, when my address was Hotmail, but I stopped using that, because I cannot check those Email accounts here at the office.

Ok, I received a notification Email that you replied to this ... so maybe it's not now working.
[update]
Apparently it's not; I don't know what's going on, but I'm not getting Emails from CP when using the EMail link.

Can't use my codeproject account, member id 5025916
To post this message here i use another one.
I've submitted an article using blocked account and now unable to edit it.
My guess is that when i updated details in my profile it was saved without logon e-mail - site says that user info is not found when i use "sign in" or "forgot password", however i can see my account information here http://www.codeproject.com/script/Membership/Profiles.aspx?mid=5025916
I've already sent a couple emails to address from FAQ with no reply.
I would appreciate if somebody fixed my account or linked my article to the one i am posting with.

There's a subsection named 'C# Algorithms - Sorting' in Java Algorithms and Recipes section[^].
Is this on purpose, to annoy Java guys, or just overuse of copy-paste?
Mostly, when you see programmers, they aren't doing anything. One of the attractive things about programmers is that you cannot tell whether or not they are working simply by looking at them. Very often they're sitting there seemingly drinking coffee and gossiping, or just staring into space. What the programmer is trying to do is get a handle on all the individual and unrelated ideas that are scampering around in his head. (Charles M Strauss)

A number of the links to message boards are invalid, pretty sure its because of the subdomain lamp in the url, i.e.
http://lamp.codeproject.com/script/Forums/View.aspx?fid=2605[^]
Doesn't work, brings up an XML parsing error, but removing the subdomain from the link causes the correct page to load.
That is all

I'm not sure if this is by design or a bug, but I posted an article - http://www.codeproject.com/KB/cs/microsoftreporting.aspx[^] and my zip file that I uploaded causes a default server error (it does not display the friendly CP error)
Also, and I assume this is a bug, if I try to delete a file, I get a page not found (friendly) error.
Is the download not available because it is a new article?
Thanks

When I click it, IE opens a new window to http://www.codeproject.com/KB/cs/microsoftreporting/MSReportingTest.zip[^] and shows the error page.
It could be the office filter. Every page has a javascript error on it and your ads are blank.
I tried another project and it wouldn't download there either. It must be the filter, which is weird
because it used to let me download. If it's working for you, that's good enough for me.
Thanks Chris.
