A quick Internet Search of 5.7.1 reveals
SMTP 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay error
Have you configured the domain for your email server and which domains are you trying to relay?

The reason you get a big textbox and a little one, is that you can put a header in the little one, and you can post code and give error messages, etc, in the big box, so we are given something with which to try and help you.

Relaying not allowed means that you are using a mail server that will not accept messages from your ip address, it generally means you can only use that mail server when logged into a specific ISP.

Hi,
I'm working with VS2008 & Linq and I would like to insert a line into my table called ISAMEMBEROF. The problem is that the primary key (IMO_ID) must be generated automatically (varchar 36). Here is the code that I wrote :
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dim msg1 As Integer = USRDataGridView.CurrentCell.RowIndex
Dim msg2 As Integer = GROUPDataGridView.CurrentCell.RowIndex
' Create a new object.
Dim ord As New ISAMEMBEROF With _
{.USR_SID = USRDataGridView.Rows(msg1).Cells(0).Value, _
.GRP_GID = USRDataGridView.Rows(msg2).Cells(0).Value, _
.IMO_ID = ???}
' Add the new object to the collection.
Me.Db.ISAMEMBEROFs.InsertOnSubmit(ord)
' Submit the change to the database.
Try
Db.SubmitChanges()
Catch except As Exception
Console.WriteLine(except)
Db.SubmitChanges()
End Try
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The SQL equivalent would be :
insert into ISAMEMBEROF (IMO_ID, USR_SID, GRP_GID) values (default, ..........)
How to do to get this with VB.NET/Linq ?
TIA Smile

The following ways:
1) If there are no threads in the message, you can delete it and put it in the new location.
2) Since it has thread responses, leave a polite message that 'This thread is posted to Linq' so that future surfers would catch up to the new location.
3) Post a request to 'Suggestions and Bug Reports' forum and wait for an administrator to respond.

Hi friends,
In my application I am converting data from msflexgrid to rxcel by using the following code.
Clipboard.Clear 'Clear the Clipboard
With MSFlexGrid1 'Select Full Contents (You could also select partial content)
.Col = 0 'From first column
.Row = 0 'From first Row (header)
.ColSel = .Cols - 1 'Select all columns
.RowSel = .Rows - 1 'Select all rows
Clipboard.SetText .Clip 'Send to Clipboard
End With
With xlApp.ActiveWorkbook.ActiveSheet
.Range("C5").Select 'Select Cell A1 (will paste from here, to different cells)
.Paste 'Paste clipboard contents
End With ' This makes Excel visible
xlApp.Visible = True
But when the data is pasted in Excel sheet, there is some cells pasted wrongly it means some row is splited in two rows.
Totally i have 11 columns, and no of rows will depends. for some row the last 3 column values are pasted in the next row 2,3,4 columns.The next rows is proceeding at next line from that row.
Please can anyone help me out. Its very very urgent for me.
Expecting your help.
Thanks and Regards,

Do you want to show it in a Textbox or anywhere else?
Then the code can be: Textbox1.Text=Format(DateTimePicker1.Value,"MM/yyyy")
I hope it will be fine.

i've problem when i try to start the server application, my application getting freeze until iconnect the client application.. why this happen? and how to solve it.. here is my code for start server button..
Dim port As String
Try
MyUpdateTextBox = New UpdateTextBox(AddressOf UpdateTextBoxDelegate)
Dim tcpserver As New TcpListener(TextPort.Text.ToString)
tcpserver.Start()
port = TextPort.Text
Dim tcpClient As TcpClient
tcpClient = tcpserver.AcceptTcpClient
MessageBox.Show("connected")
networkStream = tcpClient.GetStream()
networkStream.BeginRead(buffer, 0, buffer.Length, New AsyncCallback(AddressOf MyReadCallback), buffer)
Synchronizer = Me.ReceiveBox
Catch ex As Exception
MsgBox("Cannot connect to the specified address or port")
End Try
|
|
|
|
|
tcpserver.Start()
If you ask me, that starts a server, and does not connect to one. A TcpListener waits for incoming connections and accepts them. You should make a server application that listens, and a client that connects to the server. Try using the ip "127.0.01" to test locally.
Good Luck!

i've make a client application that try to connect to server.. and i've been test it to connect to other server applcation, and its work..
and now, i want to make a server application(because the server application that i used to try to check my client application is the application that i buy from someone, so, no code).. so i think tcpserver.start() has nothing wrong is it? if i remove that code it will be no connection.. maybe other web reference that u can tell me could be help me coz i've been google to search the best code that can help me but all dont satisfy me....

Before i tear my thinning hair out, is it possible to launch an app by having a splash screen and then login form show, and if the login is correct then close this down and launch the main app as MdiParent with Children forms as user input, I am presuming this will allow me to catch if a path to the database is ok before launching the main app. (At the moment i am opening the MdiParent and hiding it, then displaying the splash and then logon. It doesn't look pretty.)

If the main app is a seperate exe, what stops people bypassing your login ?

I use the following process
Application entry point is Sub Main.
Display the splash screen with form.show
Do the login useing a form.show (we use a seperate DLL for this)
if the validation is successful then do the Application.Rum(mainform)

I have a sql database that has multiple fields that I pull data from. On my visual basic form I have combo boxes that are linked to the database. Selecting the data I need, I push a button and I need the application to open a word document that is already prepared, pull the data from the data base and insert the data into specific fields in the document then print it. I don't need to save the document just close it.
I have the VB form and I can select the data and I can open the word doc. But how to write the data to the specific location on the word document is the trick I am having problems with at this time.
All help is appreciated
If any more info is need please ask.
Also if this is not the right forum please direct me to the one I need.

Hey, I am trying to load an rtf document into a RichTextBox control from a file but nothing I do seems to work. I have tried the LoadFile method with no results as well as reading the file into a string and setting the Rtf property. Originally I thought there could be a problem with document so went into Word, created a new one, and saved it as an rtf. That still didn't work though no errors are being thrown. The Rtf property just returns to its default value and the Text property stays "". Anyone have an idea on what I am missing? Thanks!
This is one way I tried it...
Dim FSI As New FileStream("C:\RTFtest.rtf", FileMode.Open)<br />
Dim SR As New StreamReader(FSI)<br />
Dim strRTF As String<br />
<br />
strRTF = SR.ReadToEnd()<br />
strRTF.Trim(vbCrLf)<br />
rtbBox.Rtf = strRTF
And the 2nd way...
rtbBox.LoadFile("C:\RTFtest.rtf")

Hi Justin,
There is nothing wrong in your code. I have tested them and both method works fine. The only thing I suspect is the .rtf file you are reading because this code does not read an rtf file which contains lots of images, styles or graphics etc. I have uploaded a sample application which implements the desired functionality using same code snippet. Take a look and see if this helps. You can download the application from the following link

On a certain condition, I want the focus to start with a different control then the first one. No matter what I do it won't listen to the command textbox7.focus. In the form load I put the command. In form activate I put the command. Is there an alternative to have to create something like a timer to activate to set focus after the form is fully visible...
Any tips would be appreciated...

Hello Nathan,
You can try setting the TabIndex property of the control. You can use this in Form_load event.
TextBox1.TabIndex = 0
I hope this helps.
