1 - don't cross post
2 - read the forum guide, it seems you need help with how to formulate a question
3 - I answered you 20 hours ago. If you are not smart enough to use google, or to buy a book, or to respond on a thread where people are trying to help you, then you should probably just give up now.

I am almost at the end of a VB project but am completely stuck on one part.I would like to solve it as I can use it in several other programs.
I am not talking about mail merging. I need to combine two documents together. One will be a blank invoice template stored as a PDF the other will be the billing information to print over the top. Together they form a document that can be sent by email.
Can this be done and if so is .NET or VB Classic the best platform to write it.
Can anybody offer any help at all on this?
Best regards
Mark

LOL - I thought it was called VB POS ? VB6 is NEVER the best platform for anything, it just plain sucks.
To merge two documents into one, if one is a PDF, you will need to buy a PDF library, so you can open a PDF, and add to it.

Why not immediately use one document? You could put options in your program to change logo's, fonts etc?

I would recomend using .NET as the print handling has been substantially improved over VB6.
There is an article I wrote for Developers.ie on printing[^] that is a good place to start.

Posting the same question over and over, will generate the same answers. That's because the universe has not changed since you last posted, and computer science sure has not.
Instead of asking the same question, try taking the answers you had, and considering how you can apply them to your situation.

Hello every one...
Dose any one knows how can i implement layers (As we have in many different graphics applications) in a picture box...
My objective is to save a common background image and save only foreground for each different image...

You're not the first person to mistake a picture box for a hardcore image processing tool. The picture box is for people who can't code and want to throw a simple image up on a form. ANything else, it gets in the way. To do layers, you need to impliment some sort of transparency, the easiest way is to define a mask color and define it in an ImageAttributes object, as you draw multiple images on top of one another.

I would suggest you create a new usercontrol and then override the paint routines to emulate the layered graphics you want.

Greetings everyone!
I am trying to populate a listbox and assign the datamember at form load. I am using this code:
<br />
' ** open database connection and recordset<br />
Dim rs As New ADODB.Recordset<br />
Dim Conn As New ADODB.Connection<br />
ConnectionString = "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source = c:\mydb"<br />
Conn.Open ConnectionString<br />
<br />
' ** read contents of db into recordset<br />
Set rs = Conn.Execute("Select * from tblProfiles")<br />
While Not rs.EOF<br />
With lstExistingProfile<br />
.AddItem rs("ProfileName")<br />
.DataMember = rs("profileID")<br />
End With<br />
rs.MoveNext<br />
Wend<br />
Call Close_Db<br />
End Sub<br />
Problem: it loads fine, but the last record in the db is the only datamember that appears when I click an item in the listbox.
I tried (.newindex) just after the datamember property, but got a read-only error.
any help would be great!!
thanks friends,
Mark

a. Design an algorithm that will calculate the volume of a sphere. Select appropriate units
for the radius.
b. Design an algorithm that will convert a EIGHT digit BINARY number to decimal.
c. Design an algorithm that will randomly generate six different numbers. (Numbers should
be range from 1-49). You will need to check the numbers to see if they don’t repeat
themselves in the sequence. You will only discover this when you write the program. If
this is true you must then re-define your algorithm). Use the randomizing function in
VBA.
d. Design an algorithm that will count the number of vowels in a sentence. The sentence should be constructed from a maximum of no more than 10 words, ending with a full stop.
Part 2 Program structure and design.
a. Convert the algorithms in Part 1, to VBA computer programs . ALL outputs should be
shown in the correct units. Make the programs ‘user friendly’.
b. Ensure the program structure and design makes the program readable and makes the
process of debugging much easier.
c. Where possible use suitable comments to help in the understanding of the program
function.
Part 3 Program test and debug.
a. Use suitable test data to check the functionality of algorithms in Part 1 and the programs
in Part 2.
b. Comment on whether the programs work correctly and how you would change them if
any shortcomings have been identified.
Part 4 Overall content and structure
a. Completeness of report, including page numbers, contents page, correct use of headings
etc. All work referenced and conclusions provided where required. ALL sections
attempted.

This is obviously your homework, and you didn't show any attempt to solve this by yourself, except spewing out your assignment here in hope some idiot will solve it for you, so nobody is going to offer any help, I'm sure.
And let me guess: It's urgent!

WE DO NOT DO YOUR HOMEWORK. This site is for people who want to learn for themselves. if you get stuck, or get unexpected results, you post your code and we help find where you went wrong.
I suggest that if you don't know where to start you need to change your major immediately.
I also suggest that if you write some code and get stuck you create a new account; starting off with your first post being a "please do my homework because I'm too lazy" is a really bad way to get off on the right foot.
