Let me add my voice to those that think it's a good idea. I've actually done a bit of voluntary work that I've done because of CP articles I've written.
One case I can remember quite well is from helping out someone on the forums who then contacted me via email to finish off writing the project. He did offer some money but it was such a simple project for me and I enjoyed it that I let him get away with it
I doubt it. If it isn't intuitive then we need to fix it. - Chris Maunder

Money may always be a problem, I like at most the idea of trading-pay. Help back when needed, a donation to some kind of fundation and so on. I would be glad to help with such a payment.
Greetings.

Chris - could this[^] entire thread be deleted. The title is highly inflammatory, and liable to cause deep distress to Leckey. After the hostility in the lounge last week, I feel that this post is just sick.

This member has violated our Terms of Service, specifically: "Defame, abuse, harass, stalk, threaten or otherwise violate the legal rights (such as rights of privacy and publicity) of others." and has been banned from the site.
That's completely unacceptable.

Thanks Chris. I hope we're all going to grow up a bit (not you, not you, I'm talking about people like me....). The lounge got a little bit scary last week.

I think it's time some members simply moved on. There are other sites out there were the name of the game is to cause trouble.
We just want to be able to share code in peace.

That's why I haven't been very active around here.

Could you add something similar to how if you have the URL it's still possible to see a deleted article so that we late comers know what idiot committed what bannable offense? If for no other reason than so we know which troll to be on guard against coming back with a new ID.

Someone else mentioned that the private emails were not always going through. If you know my blog address, there is an email address that you can contact me at with your private email and I can send it that way.

I observed one problem. The 'Email' link alone for some reason triggers message in a way that I am not able to whitelist in my webmail service provider (http://www.inbox.com/[^]). I have tried whitelisting the domain and have written the support also. But it always goes into 'Spam' folder. Other reply notifications are fine.
If some one is able to guide, it would be helpful.

With all due respect. I do not believe you enforce the rules very well. Am I the only one thats aloud to be defamed, abused, harassed, stalked, threatened, or have my rights violated? Throughout the years I have been active on this site I get banned for seemingly trivial matters. But when someone tries to convince me to kill myself, posts my personal email and attempts to find my address, and the many other harassing things, those people get praised. People tell me to grow up, but I think it is them, and you for being hypocritical and stooping down to the activity that you poeple criticize me of.
The Digital World. It is an amazing place in which we primitive humans interact. Our flesh made this synthetic machine. You see, we are so smart, we know a lot of stuff. We were grown from cells that came from the universe, which the matter and physics I'm typing in it is amazing how the universe is working. Human life is very amazing. How I experience this sh*t its like wow.

No, they get the same treatment as you. Unfortunately I can't be all places at all times but so yes, some things get through.
Let me be clear though: in joining this site you have agreed to abide by our Terms Of Use[^]. This is a legal agreement and we will enforce it in order to protect the site for those who want to use it for what it is intended: to share source code.
I'm done with this pathetic sniping and the flame wars. Stay here if you will, show consideration and respect for others or just keep quiet.
