Your best is to host WMP in your page and stream to it.

If by WMP you meant windows media player I can't use it because the stream is not complete, I intend to send parts of the image (only updates).
If it is posible to use a picturebox in ASP.NET fine by me.
For clarification: a machine, let's call it server, sends few times per second parts of the desktop screenshot to a web server. The web server should be able to post the image received, including image updates.
Thanks

Hi,
Can anyone please confirm whether it is possible to use SQLCacheDependency in WebFarm environment or not? Sometime back I read somewhere that it is not possible, but I am not able to find that article anymore . So if anyone can please point me to some material it would be really helpful.
Thanks,

Hi
I have a header which is included in serveral files
Inside the header are divs
Only 1 can be visible at a time
If I put an onclick event in the header with the following code:
public void button_click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
Div1.Visible = true;
Response.Redirect("page.aspx");
}
I would expect the div to show visible, but it doesnt
Is there something wrong with the logic I am using
thanks

|
erm... how do you expect to see the div if you go and redirect to another page straight afterwards?
|
|
|
|
|
I thought because the div is in the header which is included in every page, is it not possible then? Is there a better way around this?
cheers for the reply

You do a redirect. This therefore loads a new page. IF this is the page you were already on, lose this line. If it's not, how do you expect the code to do anything ? Even if it's in the header, the header will now be reloaded. You need to put something on the URL to say which item is visible, or put it in the session. I'd use the URL.

Ah ok, Ive put sessions on each click event and then on the page load for the header check what session is loaded, this works now, thanks!!

Great - the URL seems better to me, because that value will stay in the session and be used the next time you go to this page. However, the core thing is, when you redirect, even though you set a property in the header, a new instance of teh header, without that property set, will be loaded by that new page. In fact, even if you cycle through events on the same page, it's a different instance every time, that's why you have viewstate.

Rani - stop posting this drivel, and go and buy a book. We can't help you, your posts are meaningless. You need a basic level of knowledge in order to post lucid questions and you're not there yet. Do some study, learn enough to know how to ask a question, then come back
Interdev and ASP.NET have NOTHING to do with each other.

Once you set runat="server" any control not at the top level, has it's name changed. This will break any js code you may be trying to use.
