Convert the column in the gridView you want the hyperlinks to be a template column in the source code you can add how much hyperlink you want in side the itemtemplate tags like below.
<pre><asp:templatefield headertext="Header"> <itemtemplate>
<a href="google.com" id="hyl1">Google1</a>
<a href="google.com" id="hyl2">Google2</a>
<a href="google.com" id="hyl3">Google3</a>
</itemtemplate>
</asp:templatefield></pre>

Hi,
Is there a possibility to set the attributes of an hyperlink (specifically the 'NavigateUrl' attribute) at run time?
If yes, how?
the question is how to catch the event that the hyperlink was pressed, set the url before he moves to the proper page...?
Thanks,
|
|

1) You can set any attribute of any control using the document.getElementById("controlid").seattribute([attribute],[value]);
2) You can determine a link is pressed or not by adding a onclick event handler to the link.
function linkClicked()
{
alert('hello');
}
<a href="" onclick="linkClicked">Click Me</a>
Hope this helps

You can't, if you want to use ASP.NET. Try the web dev forum.

Hi,
I have used the Response method for exporting to excel sheet. The Date field values are displayed not properly .
Snapshot of the code which I used:
Response.Clear()
Response.Buffer = True
Response.ContentType = "application/vnd.ms-excel"
Response.AddHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment; filename=""" & strFileName & """")
Response.Charset = ""
Response.Cache.SetCacheability(HttpCacheability.NoCache)
Me.EnableViewState = False
Dim oStringWriter As New System.IO.StringWriter
Dim oHtmlTextWriter As New System.Web.UI.HtmlTextWriter(oStringWriter)
Dim a As New System.Web.UI.HtmlTextWriterStyle
Excelgrid.RenderControl(oHtmlTextWriter)
Dim sExcel As String
sExcel &= oStringWriter.ToString()
Response.Write(sExcel)
Response.End()
My requirement is Date to be displayed in dd/MM/yyyy format.
But in exported excel sheet, some values are treated as Date and others (it assumes the first 'Date' part as month and if it is greater than 12, it treats as String instead of Date)
What way I can solve this problem. Any possibility to formatting the columns in excel thru coding and what else can I do to get the values properly.
Expecting ur swift reponse. I need solution for this as soon as possible coz I was dragging with the issue for past 3 days and not find any solution.
Thankfully,
jm

After navigating from one page to another and finally loggig out from the website, still it loads the page afte clicking the back button, which fails the authentication , which i made for the users.How should i overcome this problem?
If you have an apple & I have an apple and we exchange our apples, then each of us will still have only one apple but if you have an idea & I have an idea and we exchange our ideas, then each of us will have two ideas!

After authenticate You can redirect the page using following code
FormsAuthentication.RedirectFromLoginPage(Login1.UserName, true);
and Logout uisng
FormsAuthentication.SignOut();

Ok, so I've got a web service that I want to hide the auto-generated wsdl help page. According to the MSDN page here[^] the following code will redirect any browser-based request for the .asmx page:
<webServices>
<wsdlHelpGenerator href="/blank.htm" />
</webServices>
However, when I put this in the System.Web element of the web.config and request the .asmx page, instead of getting blank.htm I get a HTTP 404 error saying the .asmx file has been moved or doesn't exist. That's not supposed to happen. Anybody know what's going on and how to fix it?

blank.htm
does this page exist in your website?

While that's the obvious question, yes it does exist. What's even more ineresting is if I use blank.html instead of blank.htm I get a different error about no build component specified for blank.html.

Shouldn't this:
<protocols>
<remove name="Documentation" />
</protocols>
Be in between the webServices tags:

This is one of the options we could use. This approach though disables auto-discovery of the WSDL by consumers of the web service. If I wanted to use this, then I would have to provide a custom WSDL to any consumers of the web service.

does your blank.htm exist on the same level, as in are they BOTH in the root folder?
if so, you should remove the slash before the blank.htm in the web config.
change to this:
<webServices>
<wsdlHelpGenerator href="MyBlank.htm"/>
</webServices>
not this:
<webServices>
<wsdlHelpGenerator href="/MyBlank.htm"/>
</webServices>
IF that slash isn't what's creating the location problem...then I'm all out of ideas
