Hi,
I usually have the "Notify me by e-mail if someone answers this message" enabled. I wanted to take a look to an aswer that I got and I wass remited to the first page of the forum... I guess the messge was deleted. But then I tried to use the search in forum to find at least the first message of the thread (title comes in the email as well). I limited the search to the last week (20th to 27th of May).
8 results came, but the results page says:
"Too many results to efficiently count were found. Try narrowing your search"
"Page 1 of many" // At the first moment... 11 but surfing with "next" come more. And the date of the search changes automatically to another one (November 2007)
this is the search I made[^]
This[^] where it goes by clicking on "next" button
Greetings.

This is by design (it significantly reduces DB load) but we are reworking it.

On a similar search patterns, I always get 'Search timed out or no results'.

The latest daily e-mail twice uses the incorrect abbreviation for hard drive sizes. Samsung unveiled a 256 gigabyte (GB) solid state drive, not a 256 gigabit (Gb). Maxtor's hard drive dominoes had 660 terabytes (TB) of combined storage, not 660 terabits (Tb).
I seem to have started noticing this more and more lately, what's the deal?

Thanks! I was just wondering if there was some legitimate reason it was being used so much. I particularly seem to notice it on UK sites, so I thought maybe they used it differently.

What about adding current rating in weekly Newsletter?

Most articles in the newsletter are, by definition, new, so the ratings typically haven't had a chance to settle down yet to a meaningful value.

The hyperlink for 'Discussions' in 'My CodeProject' is going to lounge.aspx. I believe it ought to be set to /script/forums/list.aspx (MessageBoards).

No. The heading of the panel is 'Discussions'. The heading is hyperlinked to Lounge.

When I use CodeBlock section for PRE and /PRE, the following things are not accessible:
1) The Voting Panel for the public
2) Edit, Delete option for the Owner
3) Report Message
Or am I missing something. I am using 1024x768 resolution on Windows XP SP2. I just posted my reply to a Lounge post here, which is suffering from this syndrome.

I had the same problem some days ago. It is because when you use pre tags, you should take care on line returns. If a line is too long the pre tags avoids the autoformating. I solved it taking a look on the preview when I am not sure if the line s going to fit the size and then adding my own "returns" to break the long lines.
BTW I can see the "reportmessage" and the "vote 1 to 5" in your message (my resolution is 1920x1200).
Greetings.

I was searching for 'Todolist' in the Article Search. I had a typo and typed 'todolsit' and it says 'No results found'. I was just wondering, if the Search Engine could be enhanced like Google indicating 'Did you mean todolist? '. Wouldn't that be more friendly?

Thank you.
That would really enhance the search engine. We understand that currently search engine is under a strong observation by your team for performance reasons as the top sticky post reads. Anyway, the current speed of the search seems to have really improved a lot.
