I think this one http://www.codeproject.com/KB/IP/csmtpconn.aspx[^] maybe helpful.

Hi,
I've got the following problem and maybe one of you can help me:
I'm searching for a possibility to recognize audio outputs of an other application.
I already searched the internet and got a tip to look to "hooking messages". Unfortunately it did not work properly. I tried to hook the MM_WOM_OPEN with SetWindowsHookEx, but it seams that this message could not be hooked by SetWindowsHookEx. I tried it with WH_CALLWNDPROC and WH_GETMESSAGE param.
Does anyone know why it did not work? Or has anyone another idea how to get triggerd when an application plays a sound?
The usecase is that I want to mute my musik when the navigation-application "speaks". The navigation-application is an 3rd party application and I do not have the sourcecode.
And sorry for my bad English i hope you understood my problem.
Thank you!
Regards,
Daniel

When a user logins into a windows box using remote desktop or any other terminal services, is it possible to do following,
a. capture login time of the user
b. capture logoff time of the user
c. capture the hostname from where he got connected
d. capture details like what he tried to install/deinstall
e. capture details like what programs he accessed?
Is this possible by means of any programming languages or scripting languages.

Yes, provided you have the Big Brother Toolbox.

I should have guessed....

Hence you don't need the Toolbox.

I am getting a string from map that can be either true or false. Is there any function or some alternative to convert this string into bool. So that I can store it in a bool variable.
string temp;
temp=MyMap.find("Check")->second;
I want to convert temp to bool.
THANKS.
|
|
|
|
|
bool bChecked = false;
if (temp == "true")
bChecked = true;
. You have to check for the case also but you got the idea.

Thanks for the reply.
This can be done. But instead I am looking for some function that does this like atoi() or itoa() for string to int and vice versa.
Is there any function for strings to bool.

Why ? That's quite simple, why do you want to use an existing function for that ?

Not as far as I know.

Good news: it exists, is atob . The bad news is that you have to code it (anyway you got so many hints about).

what kind of strings are supposed to be stored in MyMap.find("Check")->second ?
I mean, you'll have to test programmatically the string to assign another boolean variable to true or false...

toxcct wrote: what kind of strings are supposed to be stored in MyMap.find("Check")->second ?
From his snippet of code, I would say std::string.
|
|
|
|

you misunderstood me. I meant what is contained within that string ?
1/0 ?
true/false ?
checked/unchecked ?
white/black ?
|
|
|
|
|
true/false (well, that what he said in his post)
