Hello Parwej...
Thanks for ur response...
I was following the same article. However, the author says "Assuming the existence of my ASP.NET ContextMenu control, let's see how to use it to add one or more context menus to an ASP.NET page". What does he mean here....
I am hardly 4 months old in .net and while trying to create a treeview I had to download certain dll's etc to get it to work in VS2003...similarly is there anny such things to be downloaded or installed and then continue.... everything seems very confusing to me at present.... Hope U will understand my state....
Thanks and Regards,
Reena

The VS2003 does not support the Treeview so that you need some third party component to do this.
I found one more URL please through this it might be help you:
http://www.cool-tips.net/tree1.aspx[^]
Why you are not using the VS2005 ? That will solve your every problems.
Actually problem is that i do not have VS2003 so i can not do so R&D with this problem.
Let me know if you further help.

Hi Reena, Good work that you are able to implement it!!!
I read that article again and found there a property RolloverColor which mention in section Figure 1 Members of the ContextMenu Control.
Probably you are not setting this property.
Can you recheck it and let me know ?

Hi all,
I am stuck around in a weird situation.I have an order form which lets user to select items. I have an Image button to submit the information.
The problem that i m facing is that some times the user double clicks the submit button or presses enter button twice. Hence the event occurs twice and duplicate records are saved.when i googled for the problems , i found the following solution where we disable the button at client side
[^] or open up a layer to prevent user from doing anything after clicking the submit button. But creating a layer doesn`t help if the user presses the enter key.
I also found a solution that explores the UseSubmitBehavior property
[^], but its only available for Button control and doesn`t support Image Button.
Does any body have any other options or at least some idea as to how to make the above functionality work?????

Are you inserting into a database? If so you can check when inserting that you don't put in a duplicate record with in a time frame of 30 seconds.

What do you mean by saving a form to a database ? The data in the form ? It's overall state ? A form is an instance of a class, you can't save the whole form and restore it, not as such. You can write code to save whatever data you want from the form, and restore that from the DB.

Hi there,
I am currently looking to convert a winform app to asp.net and am having a problem.
The problem is that I have a device I need to read a setting from attached to the local machine and then passed back to the server.
I have a dll that is used to access the device which can be installed on the clients machine but am not sure how to access it from the page. the dll can be installed on the client machine
The code used in the winform app is
m_MHE = new MHE();
m_MHEOpenValue = m_MHE.Open();
m_Old = m_MHE.CurrentValue;
m_MHE.Enabled = true;
Thank you for any help

I don't think that ASP.NET can do this. Probably creating an Activex control may work, I am not sure though.

Thanks for the answer - I felt this may be the answer. Is it the same for using the gdi printing to a printer.

I have 5 different domain alias for my website; I want to know the alias in my asp.net code and want to display the page accordingly; say
For alias "http://aliasIndia" I want to open India.aspx
For alias "http://aliasCanada" I want to open Canada.aspx and so on.
My question is how do I know by which alias user came to my website so I can redirect to proper page; right now for each alias my default page is opening.
|
|
|
|
|
Check the URL (Request.RawURL). Look for the text and redirect to proper page.
|
|
|
|
|
The Page.Url.Host property returns the domain name that was used to get to the site.
Despite everything, the person most likely to be fooling you next is yourself.

How do i use LoginStaus Control in master page without ' Membership provider' and with out 'Configure Security Using the Website Administration Tool '.
What are the changes to be done on web.config.

Hi,
I am developing a web application in which the customer/user register(enter)with their complaints. When the End user enters all the required data and clicks the Register button automatically a unique number should be generated. For instance the number should be in the format like 23/Mar/2008/001 and for every new user the number should be incremented if according to the system date. If the system date changes then the number should be start again from current date/001........
Thank you

So what do you want to know? How to do it? Where, in a database or in the web app?
Please try to help yourself by being specific with what you want - nobody else knows what you are working on
