Sorry, are you kidding ?
How did you open the image in the first place ? You're going to open it the same way in the popup. I really don't get which bit you're stuck on.

Call javascript onClientClick event of this Button.

Ok. You can open new window using
window.open()
Masood Kochi,SSF wrote: Image Path is coming from the database.
You can pass ID of the image which you get that image on second page on page load event.Get ID from querystring and retrieve data from database.
Got? now do?

I have written function by using java script. This function is working click click event but not for onblur event. Pls help.
---------
rbRndQRSSPoor.Attributes.Add("onblur", "EnableTxtBox(this)")
rbRndQRSSPoor.Attributes.Add("onClick", "EnableTxtBox(this)")
-----------------
What will be the problem
This is html view (by right clicking + View source) of my web page. Here, onblur event has set on out of the control. But click event is in side of the control. Why it is like that? What is the problem?

I don't see your script. I even checked the source, but what I saw was not script for a textbox.
Is it onblur and not onBlur, but it's onClick and not onclick ? I thought it was onblur and onclick. What if you add only one ?

I've wrtn the following on page load
rbRndQRSSPoor.Attributes.Add("onblur", "EnableTxtBox(this);")
rbRndQRSSPoor.Attributes.Add("onClick", "EnableTxtBox(this);")

well, you didn't answer my question, and you've not posted the most important code, the code where the onblur is inserted.
What does 'not working' mean, is the mthod not called, or does it not do what you hope ?

I want to call that function for both events click and onblur for radio buttons. When I click radio button1, that function is called.
But when I click radio button2 (leave from the selected radio button1), onblur should be fired. That the same function should be called as onblur event. That functin is not called at this moment.

It's almost like you don't want help. What does the html for the radio buttons look like ? What happens if you remove the onclick event, does the blur get called then ?

Whatever the error is, you should never call find control, do the cast instead of using 'as' and then just use it right away. Write defensive code, that will not blow up if the FindControl call fails. Try to write a site that won't ever blow up, even if it doesn't work as you hope for some reason.
I am suspecting that is what's happening, b/c that's all I can see that could go wrong.

Hi, I have a javascript which I register on click of link button, using ScriptManager. My link button is in update panel,
the link button click code is:
protected void lnkButton_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder();
sb.AppendLine(" var popup = window.open( '','popup','toolbar=no,menubar=no,scrollbars=1,width=750,height=800');");
sb.AppendLine("popup.document.write('<html><head>');");
sb.AppendLine("popup.document.write('<title>Configurations for ACA</title>');");
sb.AppendLine("popup.document.write('</head><body>');");
sb.AppendLine("popup.document.write('<div id=\"lnk\" class=\"noprint\" style=\"text-align:right\">');");
sb.AppendLine("popup.document.write('<a href=\"#\" onclick=\"window.print();return false;\">Print</a>');");
sb.AppendLine("popup.document.write('<a href=\"#\" onclick=\"window.close();return false;\">Close</a>');");
sb.AppendLine("popup.document.write('</div>');");
sb.AppendLine("popup.document.write('<table border=1px style=width:500px; margin-left:100px; margin-top:50px; border-color:Maroon; >');");
sb.AppendLine("popup.document.write('<tr><td>');");
sb.AppendLine("popup.document.write('This is my string');");
sb.AppendLine("popup.document.write('</td><td>')");
sb.AppendLine("popup.document.write('This is my string');");
sb.AppendLine("popup.document.write('</td></tr></table>');");
sb.AppendLine("popup.document.write('</body></html>');");
ScriptManager.RegisterClientScriptBlock(this.GetType(), "OpenWindow", sb.ToString(), true);
}
WHen I click on "print",window.print() do not pop uo printer selection dialog box. When I click on "close", it closes the window.
Can anyone please suggest what is wrong in the javascript ?
Many thanks.

Hi folks,
I'm re-doing a website that's in ASP and making it ASP.NET. Some of the pages in the site have links coming in and a Google PageRank worth preserving so I'm using URL Rewriter[^] to rewrite requests for .asp pages to .aspx pages.
My question is, is this a good method for maintaining links from search engines and other places? Is there another method better suited?
Thanks!

I have a website with a LoginView which has two templates, a LoggedInTemplate and the AnonymousTemplate. The AnonymousTemplate has the username/password boxes, a 'login' button, and 'Register' and 'Forgot Password' links.
The AnonymousTemplate displays fine. But when the user enters their username/password, the LoggedInTemplate does not display, instead, all I see is the AnonymousTemplate again. We have a three tier environment. This exact code works fine on our development and staging servers, but when we move it to production, is where we have the problem. All three use seperate databases.
The only differences between the sites are the database connection strings in the Web.Config, and the applicationName in the Web.Config. If the user enters a bad username/password, an error message is displayed to that effect. After logging in, I can go to the site admin area, and verify that I am logged in, but still only see the AnonymousTemplate.
If anyone has any ideas at all on this, I could really use the help!
Thanks

If you set the position in CSS, that is where it will be. I recommend you don't use the designer to lay things out, because it is inserting things you plainly do not understand.

In the Access DB being used as the backend (blame the client, not me) the PK is set as an auto number. When I try and insert without manually setting the value I get this error message: Exception Details: System.Data.OleDb.OleDbException: You tried to assign the Null value to a variable that is not a Variant data type. I assume I need to set a value in the ItemInserting event, but how do I get it from the DB?

Without seeing the insert I cannot be certain, but I think you must be referencing the autonumber field in your column list, sort of
insert into table(pk,name) values (null,'Bob')
whereas the correct syntax is
insert into table(name) values ('Bob')
Hope this helps

That's more or less what my query is (although I don't know how to see what the access data source component actually sends to the DB) but when I delete the PK from the query and control I get the following error, and an otherwise useless stack trace:
Data type mismatch in criteria expression.
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.
Exception Details: System.Data.OleDb.OleDbException: Data type mismatch in criteria expression.

I have written the code for getting the path of file on hard disk.
as
string strPath = fileUpload.PostedFile.FileName;
For IE7 it gives me correct absolute Path
but for Mozila it's giving me only relative path i.e. file name only
and it's storing it's default path as
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common7\IDE\contacts.csv
Which is wrong one....
Please help me on this issue..
Thank you.

Why do you need to know the path to the file on the client machine ? I don't see how it matters.

Wow - what a helpful response!
Doesn't matter that you can't see how it matters - the OP obviously wants the full path (and the .Net specification says that the property will contain:
"The name of the client's file, including the directory path."
Sorry I can't be of assistance - as I would have expected the full path myself.
