hai,
currently i m using asp.net with c# (.net 2005, 2.0 framework).
here i m trying to merge two dataset column wise and the column count,table name same.
for example, i use two dataset ds1 and ds2.
ds1 contains A,B,C,D column.
ds2 contains E,F,G,H,I,J column.
i need the resultant in gridview as A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I,J
Note : always the Rows will be equal in both ds1 and ds2 dataset.

You can't. People who ask this, are usually asking because their permissions system is broken. If you build a persmission system properly, you will store a key in the session to tell you the user is logged in. If they log out, this is cleared, and every secure page will redirect to the login page if you browse to it and the session object is not set to tell you that a user is logged in.

Using user only i am doing all those things..,
So i cant abondom session...,
So i looked in js...,
They given this script,
Its working cool,
Becoz of this my session will get any probs?????,
Still now i didnt face any session probs of this script...,
But i like to confirm it,
Plz tell me can i use this script to avoid go back operation in my browser...,
This script i called in all the page body onload event:

This might work. Sometimes. Anyone who wants to defeat it, can. Trivially. So, write good code in the first place, and you won't need this.

This makes no sense at all. If a session object marks that a user is logged in, of course you can abandon it. The session is unique per user, that's why you use it in the first place.

i don't know how to disable 'back' button,
but,
I have a idea ....
suppose, u have 10pages as 1.aspx,2,3,....9.aspx
now the user moves from page 3.aspx to 4.aspx
now, when the user arrives at 3.aspx, use Session["pagenumber"]="3";
when the user navigates to page 4.aspx, change it as Session["pagenumber"]="4";
at the entry of each page (in the page load function) check this entry !

Is your page load interacting with your grid at all ? If you look at this code in the debugger, do any of the cells have data for that row ? For any row ?
Tell me it's not really called gridview1 ???

. Last week I was invited to one company for checking their code and giving some advice for their project. I can see a gridview named as gridView256 ! The page which they wrote contained 256 gridviews and all named like gridview1 .. 256. What a disaster !

Are you binding the grid in the page load ? make sure you are doing it inside "!IsPostBack" blocks.

It's not safe to do the above. "Rows[index]" returns a row instance which may be NULL or the cell may be NULL. Check it is NULL, if not proceed with delete.
